The main characters Sean and James used to play basketball in high school and wore the same jersey numbers as the main characters Noah and Parker in An American Hate Crime (2018) who played lacrosse. The jersey numbers are 24 and 41.
The school the young characters previously attended is a made up school, Lower Bucks High School "LBHS". This is the same school used for the teenage characters in An American Hate Crime (2018), the first film by writer/director Ian Liberatore.
All American Boy stars Christopher Brian and Avery Quinn share the same birthday- April 21st 1997.
Primary filming took just 9 days.
Due to the Covid-19 crisis, the characters of Molly, Kyle and Hayden had to be recast before production started. They were all hired exactly 2 weeks before production started.
