Sri Asih is a comic character created by R.A. Kosasih. First published in 1954 by Melodie Publisher. In the early days of the development of Indonesian comics, comic artists tried to make works that were acceptable to cultural circles and educators.
The second installment of the Bumilangit Cinematic Universe (BCU) following Gundala (2019), which was directed by Joko Anwar.
Eyang Mariani's character was made as a tribute for the late actress Mimi Mariani, the first Sri Asih.
The name Sri Asih means "goddess of justice".
