Xolalpa wrote the screenplay in a period of 11 hours on Alessandra's birthday.
Laura Flores had heard about the script going around and eventually learned about it from her manager. Being passionate about the subject matter and wanting to work with Xolalpa, she immediately asked to read the script and to be put in touch with Xolalpa. Her manager reassured her that there was no point as there was no part for her in the script but she still insisted on reading it. After reading the script, Flores called Xolalpa and had a two hour conversation about the script where she bluntly asked to be considered for the part of Monica. Xolalpa, unaware that Flores would ever be interested in a supporting role, out of surprise and shock said no. His only reason being that given Flores's career, she deserved a "bigger" role which he couldn't offer at the time, but promised to offer in the future. Nevertheless, Flores insisted she should be part of the film and went as far as to offer her services for free just to be able to work with Xolalpa.
Filmed in 15 days.
Knowing that his mother has been a die hard fan of Laura Flores her entire life, Xolalpa kept it a secret and didn't tell her until the day Laura Flores showed up to their house for dinner, same night she arrived to Los Angeles to shoot her scenes.
