Considering at least half of his films have gotten major releases in the Criterion Collection and given the fact that Terence Malick is a master director of contemporary films with philosophical narratives, it's not out of the realm of possibility to see this film in the Criterion Collection.

The Tree of Life (2011) is generally favored to hold that title up to this point among critics. But Malick doesn't set out too make one movie more important than another.
Most of Terence Malick's films are pretty lengthy, so it's not out of the realm of possibility that it will get an over two or three hour runtime.
