David Price (House of Cards, Paws P.I.) was originally supposed to play the role of Older Man but had to back out due to scheduling conflicts. He was replaced by Jess Perry two weeks prior to shooting.
Kelley Hinman (The Young and the Restless) was considered for the role of Older Man.
Originally, "A Mind's Eye" was made for a music contest, sponsored by Adam Young of Owl City. Although it didn't win, it received many positive reviews, and Director Rebecca Kirsh felt it deserved an original score in hopes of submitting it to film festivals.
