The short-story that 'Eater' was based off of was also adapted as an episode of the short-lived NBC anthology horror series 'Fear Itself' a year later (2008). Although there are several story similarities, there are some differences with the main difference being that the character of Bannerman is female in the alternate version. In the Duffers short film, he is played by Emanuel Borria, but in the 'Fear Itself' version, Bannerman is played by actress Elisabeth Moss.

Extremely well produced and filmed horror short

For a low budget short this could make a good full horror feature film.

Well directed, filmed and has better acting than some of the low budget drivel movies coming out of hollywood at present.

Nice bit of shape shifting cannibal horror a solid 6.5 out of 10 hatchets on the horror scale from me on this one!
