I LOVE the Jackass films. Part 1 and 2 are some of the funniest times I've spent in the theater. When word got out from Bam Margera on Howard Stern a few months ago about the upcoming 2.5, I was very excited to see it. Well, I just finished watching 2.5, and even though I laughed a lot, it just overall usually felt like a deleted scene reel from a DVD. Of course that's what a lot of the footage is, but after I heard they were still filming long after number 2's release, I figured we'd get the same type of movie we've seen in the past, but only this time they were just going to market it differently. This film consists of good bits and failed bits, most of which are set up with interviews. The first two films barely missed a beat, even when the bit wasn't the greatest, but 2.5. consists of mostly just amusing stuff. Don't get me wrong, I had a good time, but expected so much more. One thing that really let me down, is the lost Don Vito tooth pulling scene is still missing, even though Bam mentioned they'll finally show it. I'm guessing it's from the recent conviction, but that bit could have made the whole movie, if it's as great as Bam says it is. So if you're a Jackass fan, check out 2.5. If you're new to Jackass, check out 1 and 2, cause that's where the real laughs are.

This should have a been an extra feature on the Jackass Number Two DVD. It has some great moments, some not so great, and some sickening things.
If you're a Jackass fan you should see it, but paying so much to see it isn't the best idea. These are basically the rejected scenes not used in Number Two, and for some you'll understand why. Some is just inappropriate, but so hilarious like the original stuff. Ever since the first Jackass movie, they've all been pushing the limits of what they can do, and lately the more disgusting and cruder stuff comes out like more nudity and vomiting. It also seems more Hollywood, but nonetheless another piece of Jackass.

This is basically the same as a DVD featurette for the movie "Jackass Number Two" with cut material and some behind the scenes footage. They say that they filmed so much material for "Jackass Number Two" and it was enough to make a whole new movie with and that's why they made "Jackass 2.5". But seriously, isn't this simply anything more than a simple way to cash in more of the success of the previous Jackass movies and TV show, one year after the release of "Jackass Number Two"?
It already sort of says it, this movie is filled with material that didn't end up in "Jackass Number Two", which basically means it are left overs, so it isn't as good as the things you can see in "Jackass Number Two". Yes of course the movie will still make you laugh but it just isn't as good and solid as "Jackass Number Two".
First they show an entire sequence and then next they tell us why this part didn't ended up being in "Jackass Number Two". Now this just doesn't seem right and actually quite pointless. Or at least it is for a movie. Like I said before, as a DVD featurette this would work out but just not like this.
It's fun to see the cast and crew talking about the making of "Jackass Number Two" and telling how they got their ideas but once more, this would of course work out better as a DVD featurette.
Yes, for most part this movie is still great fun to watch and of course still a must see for the die hard fans but even they shall most likely end up being disappointed with this product that you just can't really call a movie.

I have more info on this title but don't know how to edit it, so ill leave it here:
Running Time: 64mins, Release: Available Online Only
Further Info: Remaining Unused scenes made in production with jackass number two, compiled together by Jeff Tremaine and Johnny Knoxville.
Jackassworld.com Info: When all the guys got together to make jackass number two, they filmed more than a movie-they filmed a movie and a half. Maybe even two. The problem was only 90 minutes of the resulting mess could be used in the feature, leaving almost an hour of movie-worthy s*** on the proverbial cutting room floor.
Not knowing what to do with all this material, Jeff Tremaine and Johnny Knoxville decidedly set it aside for some undecided future use.For the better part of the year following the release of jackass number two, this cache of unseen footage remained in limbo until someone came up with the idea to film all new interviews with the cast, talking about this excess of never-before-seen pranks, stunts, and random acts of behind-the-scenes mischief and stupidity, and package it into a documentary-like feature called jackass 2.5.Although this isn't necessarily the "new" jackass movie, it's still every bit as unbelievable, dirty, and downright sexy as its predecessors-maybe even more so at points.

Jackass's 2nd installment produced a lot of footage, and some of it didn't make it into the final cut. after the success of jackass 2, the crew decided to take some of the unused footage, put it together, and make jackass 2.5 and turn it into a 40 minute docu-drama. well, not so much.
while it wasn't much of a drama, it took some stunts that wern't as funny as the other ones, but still could make you laugh.
I somewhat enjoyed it, but most of the stunts involved having foreign objects placed up someone's butt. like anal beads, baby powder, straws, and massage cream. also, a lot of bodily waste ended up on human skin (Urine is a good example) if that sickens you, don't bother with this.
it's also got a few extra features, like the making of the video game, and bonus stunts done after number 2's release. it's worth a rental.

Unless watched along with Jackass 2, the behind the scenes isn't that funny on its own. Most of the stunts are rejects that didn't work. Still some good stuff though.

More of a documentary than a true Jackass film that's barely feature length. However, Jackass 2.5 is still really good and insightful, enjoyably exploring how a Jackass gets made and still has some fun and satisfyingly painful stunts. Jeff Tremaine's direction is good, the stunts are always well filmed and it's got a really fun opening. All of the sketches are worth watching and have their moments even if you can see why they didn't make the final cut.
Upon learning there were to be a Jackass 2.5 to be released, i was indeed over the moon. I also learned that it consisted of all the bonus footage from the filming of Jackass No.2 STOP! Although it would be true to say this film is comprised of "bonus footage" from the main film, it would be more accurate to say this film is comprised of "failed footage" from the main film.
Reading some of the other articles on this "straight to video" release, I found myself agreeing with many of the opinions mentioned. Jackass 2.5 is basically a glamourised bonus feature, that (in my opinion) should of appeared on a 2nd bonus disc available with the main film, The content, although very funny, is not strong enough to stand on its own. Still, it is a great watch for the hardcore jackass fans with some hilarious skits (the best of which both involve Prestons' enlarge rump!) The biggest let down for me was Bam Margeras' overly-eager gayness, it seemed to transform the flow if the skits into the lowliest of gay porn. I understand that the show is all about pain and humiliation but excitedly wanting to do such things to your ,ahem, "exit hole" makes it a little too ...... seedy! Still, despite the above, it made for enjoyable watch, lets face it, being in the foreshadow of the amazing Jackass No2, it was a tough bill to beat. And im sure Jackass 2.5 has generated a lot of "bad press," but i hope it ain't put the guys off making a third installment of the now legendary Jackass Anthology! I've seen people writing this feels like a deleted scenes reel and are disappointed because of it. This is supposed to be contend that didn't make the cut for jackass 2 so naturally the quality is worse than jackass 2. It says that within the first 5 minutes and even in the title. This is not jackass 3 it is jackass 2.5 and for being a extra movie this is amazing

This is leftover from Jackass Number Two. Preston Lacy as King Kong on port-a-potties looks great and imaginative. I wish they put cameras on the planes to get more of an action sequence. The guys also sometimes comment after the stunts which give it a behind-the-scene feel. The stunts are all Jackass style. For fans of Johnny Knoxville and the boys, this is right up their backdoor alley. For me, it gets a bit repetitive and the guys explaining their scenes is not that compelling. I think some have suggested this would be better as a DVD extra. This is more like enough material for a half of a Jackass movie. The cannibalistic Indian tribe is kind of interesting but these guys are not the ones to try to explain their society.

First off, let me say that I'm a huge Jackass fan. I have been since the first episode aired on MTV in 2000. I remember seeing both Jackass movies in the theaters and loved them both. They were hysterical. So, when I heard there was a web-only release of a new Jackass film I was very, very excited.
Well I just finished watching the film and, I must say, I was quite disappointed. When watching you must keep in mind that what you are seeing were scenes that wound up on the cutting-room floor from the second film. The stunts are kind of boring. The cast lacks their usual enthusiasm. And it looks like age, money, and fame have had their effects on the entire crew.
When Jackass first started it was a bunch of guys who no one knew and and had no money. Just doing stunts for the fun of it. Now you watch and it seems like they're washed-up, old, and just out to make a few more bucks.
I'm optimistic that the newly announced Jackass 3 will get back to the roots of the original show. But, as for Jackass 2.5, I was thoroughly disappointed.

Jackass: Number Two director Jeff Tremaine claims that when the gang shot the film, they had enough footage to make two complete films. Jackass 2.5 is the footage that didn't make the final cut. It's hard to call a sixty-four minute film a "movie," but it's not like this is completely failed, throw-away material. We should be grateful we saw it in the first place.
Jackass 2.5 is in no way the "failed" stunts. These stunts were passed with grade A idiocracy. They just weren't cool enough to get in the big film. Some of the stunts are very well done. I loved the "Mini Motor Cycle Mayhem" because I've always wanted to just completely trash a supermarket in a weird way.
My favorite stunt is performed by the remarkable duo of Preston Lacy and Jason "Wee Man" Acuna. The gang paints Lacy like King Kong with interior black paint, and place him on top of a port-a-potty on top of a hill (he has a great fear of heights). So the struggle for him is to not get hit with planes and face his "fatty-fall-down-phobia." Wee Man, dressed like a women, is clinging to his side yelling "save me" while Lacy swats at remote control airplanes before falling. Hilarity, and really a surprise it wasn't cut from the right cloth.
I liked when Bam flew a kite. And that's all I'm willing to say about that. Some of the stunts left me speechless. But with Jackass, that's something you have to expect.
I enjoyed a lot of the interviews conducted with most of the cast. I sort of wish there were more scattered throughout the movie to make it longer. We get a lot of Tremaine commentary about the film, which I have no problem with. I'd like to hear how Jackass is made from the director's point of view.
Jackass 2.5 is in no way made of "garbage" or "epic fails." It's made of, quite possibly, two of the best stunts ever performed in Jackass history. When it comes to comedy, Knoxville and the gang know how to do it the seemingly easy way.
Starring: Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Ryan Dunn, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Jason "Wee Man" Acuna, Preston Lacy, Dave England, and Ehren McGhehey. Directed by: Jeff Tremaine.

People have been raving about how they hate this film so much and it should have been a contemporary disc but i honestly don't think it's that bad it's probably the worst in the series but that is not saying much. It's very sexually explicit it is probably deserving of the R rating in Canada but otherwise i liked it, but regarding everything i just said it's probably;y more of a rent movie. Some of the scenes really shock you like bam showing his d**k and johny likewise it makes you not like them as much as you did with the others but the rest don't surprise you, and this film is like all about bam he is in like every one of the sketches so if you not a big bam fan this isn't film for you but it's OK 7/10

This is an interesting cash grab. You had enough footage where you could make this and it runs over an hour. Jaime and I saw Forever in the theater and while we didn't want to watch a TV show, this was mindless fun so we binged through 1, 2 and now this.
I believe we both saw this before. This time around, I love the documentary feel here. There's probably 45 minutes of stunts not used, but then they talk to cast and crew. This gives a bit more behind the scenes feel which I liked. Not as good, but still fun and worth a watch if you're a fan of Jackass.
My Rating: 6.5 out of 10.

Some never seen skits here which were a joy to watch. And honestly in general I didn't think any of them were that much worse than the ones we saw in Number Two. Except for maybe the King Kong skit as that was a bit lackluster.
What this also shows is a bit more behind the scenes of people bailing out or getting agitated and showing that it's not all fun and games. It makes sense of course and is good not to have in the main film but it was nice to see here. Generally don't miss out with this if you liked number two/jackass.

I love all the Jackass and this one was pretty good. Not bad for one that didn't come out in the movies. NIce to see all of the extra bonus footage that was missed from the films.
If Jackass 2.5 serves as proof of anything (and that's a stretch) it's that some folks will go to any length to try and squeeze cash out of the movie going or in this case, DVD buying/renting public. On second thought, 2.5 also stands as proof that the Jackass "franchise" has one foot in the grave and the other teetering dangerously on the precipice.
The original Jackass movie was an agglomeration of skits and stunts culled from the MTV television series, some of which were too ripe for even cable TV, mixed with new material, to form an unevenly funny broth consisting of outrageous stunts and pranks.
Jackass Number Two tried to push the envelope even further, mixing some gut churningly gross material into an already uneven mix. The end result was a product that alternated between the hilarious and repulsive.
The straight-to-DVD Jackass 2.5, sadly, is little more than a collection of material shot during the production of Number Two that didn't make the cut, and it shows. Essentially this release is nothing more than a glorified supplemental disc that should have been packaged with the sequel, but that wouldn't have generated anywhere near the same amount of revenue that releasing it on its own would, hence the existence of 2.5.
The fact that there's virtually nothing funny in 2.5, as compared to the previous two releases, seems of little concern to the folks behind this film. The only surprise is that the DVD didn't come with a narration track that consisted of Knoxville and crew laughing their guts out while repeating the mantra "you paid money for this, SUCKER!" If you enjoyed either of the previous two Jackass films, you should definitely give this one a pass. If you loathed them, then move along, there's really nothing to see here.

There is nothing to this film except a bunch of stunts that wern't good enough to go into jackass 2. I honestly think that there were no more than 2 stunts that managed to make me laugh in any way. I was such a big fan of the original series and first 2 movies but this was truly a waste of time. In all honesty I would have been disappointed watching this as a bonus disc to go with the second movie. What stunts there are seem outdated and no way near on a par with the much funnier dirty sanchez boys who still seem able to push boundaries. All this seemed like was a group of guys truly milking the jackass franchise in a feeble attempt to resurrect their wiltering careers. Even Knoxville seemed to have sold himself out.

Decidedly, cinematographic waste proliferates faster than a rabbit farm. After two shameful films and an equally stupid television series, Jeff Tremaine continues and presents us with another film, convinced that he is making cinema.
I will not dwell on the analysis of the script or cast because this film has none of that, it just has stupid people who do stupid things and think this is funny. It is the type of film made to be seen by people even more idiots than the idiots who made it, and who are making real money at the expense of this. They may be fools, but they are smart fools.
I couldn't see the movie, it's too bad for me. It is decadent and degrading. Pure cult of stupidity. Enjoy it! I give a star because I cannot give zero.

Johnny Knoxville and his companions bring the antics and craziness of the show "Jackass" to the movie screen. Now they invade Japan, where they disguise themselves as pandas, attack a golf course and face off against alligators.
Boring like all the others, and despite being extremely bizarre and disgusting, nothing is taken advantage of, nor does it sound pleasant, it would be a disgusting mix of the Panic Program with the worst quality supra juice... But while their insanity and irresponsibility only affects the same , ok, for those who like it, great, it's good that there's an audience for all tastes, I pass, but I watched them all to make sure it's bad... Bad, disgusting and terrible...
