Nobody should watch Hallmark films with massively high expectations, their Christmas output particularly. If a Hallmark fan or wanting to see as many Christmas films as possible, expectations would understandably be higher. They are very formulaic with most of them being more of the same narratively and structurally, apart from sporadic attempts at changes of pace like this film. Some are above average and more, others are average and less
2019 was a very hit and miss and generally unimpressive year for Hallmark and their Christmas output, despite some surprisingly good efforts. 'Christmas on My Mind' to me and am not sure how this opinion is going to go down managed to be one of the best from that year and actually among their best Christmas films in general. It's not a masterpiece by any stretch, then again is that expected from Hallmark, or flawless. But 'Christmas on My Mind' does show that Hallmark do have a good film in them if given a chance and that they can do something different to usual.
'Christmas on My Mind' isn't perfect. It did get a bit too weird and silly towards the end, which also felt too pat.
There are times where the dialogue could have been better. Parts are for my tastes on the cheesy and forced side. A few slow moments here and there.
However, credit is due though for breaking away from the usual basic formula that most Hallmark Christmas films follow, and not only not wasting it but not doing it half-heartedly. It is done intriguingly and charmingly. In my view, the characters weren't bland, too perfect or annoying and were better developed than most characters in Hallmark's Christmas films. Ashley Greene is endearing to watch and her conflict to me was investable. Andrew W. Walker is completely at ease with his role and brings a lot of charm and empathy to a potentially over-stiff character. Their chemistry is sweet and genuine, not cloying at all.
Furthermore, 'Christmas on My Mind' pleases visually, lovely festive locations attractively and never drably or garishly shot. The music isn't as intrusive as it tends to be with Hallmark while the direction gets the job done well. The script doesn't get too cheesy or sentimental and does have a more natural flow when it becomes more settled. The story is not too heavy while taking itself seriously and is both warm-hearted and has a light touch when necessary.
In summary, good but not great. 7/10

Was nice seeing Ashley,in a Hallmark movie.
Also great supporting cast, for the storyline.
Had a flaw or two, nothing is perfect but still was good.
Hope to see her in,future channel shows.
If the dislike comes from it being a Twilight cast member, that is a poor way to rate something.
Ashley Greene of Twiglight looks beautiful in this Christmas movie. Why isn't she on TV more? She is paired with Hallmark regular Andrew Walker. A woman falls and loses her memory for the last 2 years thinking she is still engaged to her previous boyfriend. It's fairly intriguing to see how she gets back her memory. How is she going to choose between her ex and her new fiancé? This movie looks a bit better
than the average Hallmark movie.

I really like the actors especially Andrew Walker and the plot was a little better than most Hallmark movies. However, I've had it with the PHONY winters! Actors wear thin jackets that are usually open? They rarely wear hats and gloves and even in the snowman contest, they had bare hands. It's torture to manipulate snow this way. Also, if we look in the background, there are green forests of deciduous trees. Now I lived most of my life in the northeast and winters were COLD and BARE and WET! People who liked winter activities would smother themselves in puffy winter coats, wear warm hats, scarves, gloves and boots AND would rush indoors as soon as their activities ended.I
Now I live in Arizona and even though we have mild weather, people still celebrate the holidays. So, if Hallmark can't film in winter then why not allow their Christmas stories to take place in a warm climate. It could be Arizona or Southern California or Hawaii or even a vacation type place like the Bahamas.

I find it a pity that the beginning is far too rushing. The whole of the first scenes is not really credible....... Of course this is a romanticized film or everything is beautiful. But at what point in the most beautiful life, you become amnesiac with a little shock to the head, and you make it awaken by Santa Claus two seconds later. Then stumble upon are ex boyfriends. You see the first five minutes, you get an hour and a half. ......... Beyond this, the realization is average, make snowman without gloves, light outfits for the season. Lucy's house is quite exaggerated in the immensity, besides the entrance looks like a town hall or a party room. Adrew Walker has the merit of playing his role perfectly. When Ashley greene, she's unconvincing.
A fall on ice with Santa coming to the rescue of Lucy,(played by Ashley Greene) starts our story. A bump on the head and Lucy has amnesia. However, she does go straight to her ex-boyfriend Zac, played by Andrew Walker. He delivers on a character protecting a broken heart yet still out to get his girl.
The story has its ebb and flow without giving away the reason for the break up. This gives the story a plus to pull off the conclusion with a Hallmark happy Christmas ending.
Very enjoyable holiday movie.

Compared to all movies: 6.0. Compared to Hallmark Movies: 7.7.
By experimental I mean as far as intrigue and out of the ordinary a plot, this movie is a bit that.
I enjoyed the little breadcrumbs the writer(s) gave us along the way to indicate the mystery behind past events. These were interwoven precisely leading to the reveal. I felt it was almost masterful in that respect (for a Hallmark film), but the ending was a bit predictable. On the other hand, although predictable, the last 15 minutes were really good, as were the first 30 minutes. The rest is ordinary.
"It took me forgetting who I was to remember who I am".
The amnesia was original in it's own respect, however, it was presented a bit oddly. Why was everyone so calm and blasé about it? Acute memory loss is usually indicative of a traumatic brain injury (even in light of the negative brain scans). Also, it's strange how a person's very essence could shift 180 degrees to the point they have been lying to themselves, and all of their friends so profoundly. The amnesia seems a cry for help. But it's all part of the mystery.
It was entertaining enough, although missing the x-factor. The acting, sets, lighting, and music were satisfactory. Also, it's not difficult to sit through a film when everyone is so easy to look at. I get this feeling that these Hallmark actors are of a higher pedigree. Why aren't they performing in more mainstream stuff? I hesitate to explore this, I might not like what I find.
I must mention that I am seeing a Hallmark movie trend: the main characters are usually wealthy artists, musicians, and philanthropists. I am waiting for a film where they are blue collar, not wealthy, or gifted. Fingers crossed.

Eh, this one was just meh. Pretty scenery and set design, but just not enough character development and next to no chemistry between any of the characters. Very predictable, and that's saying a lot for a Hallmark movie.

I liked it quite very much. I liked them both and the theme of coming back to the first love.
An Unforgettable Christmas (Christmas On My Mind) (2019) -
I liked the fact that the concept of this story was slightly different this time. There was a bit more depth to it and it managed to deliver that, whilst also maintaining that seasonal vibe.
It was frustrating that nobody would just tell Lucy (Ashley Greene), the leading lady who bumped her head and forgot everything, what had happened though.
I think Andrew W. Walker, as the leading man Zach, gets more and more handsome with every film he's been in. I couldn't believe that anyone would ever separate from him willingly and this film definitely needed at least a topless scene with him in. Maybe some skimpy swim shorts in a sauna or something equally as tasteful? A nude calendar perhaps?
Brad, played by Clayton James was a nice guy too and a cutey. His change of heart at one point seemed a little bit easy and hard to believe though and It did feel like he had a different voice dubbed over his own.
As did Morgan (Debs Howard) whose voice was less than pleasant anyway.
I'm not sure that the whole vocal track wasn't redubbed actually, because there were times when even the leads didn't sound right and that was a tad distracting.
I did feel for Poor Donna Benedicto playing Anna, she's never been the bride and has always been the sidekick in these films. It would be nice to see her in a leading role. I think that's she's earned that now.
And I wasn't sure about her romantic interest, Beau, who was obviously gay.
It was definitely not one of the bad films of this genre, but there will always be bonus points because Andrew W. Walker was in it and I did like the different tack that it took. I generally prefer new romances instead of old breakups rekindled though.
6.5/10.

I liked this film up until it is discovered who really broke up with who, then it got a little weird for me until the end.
Protagonists were great, premise was good, location was good...still would recommend.
The good thing about film - it respects the recipe of genre. Maybe too faithful. Andrew W. Walker saves good part of story, Ashley Greene is sweets but She can not help her character, the characters itselves are reduced at sketches level and the film seems be only a gray project, without real ambitions of authetic story. But, sure, nice try. And reasonable imitation of romance story. A Christmas stories with delicate veil of amnesia, old love, new fiancee and an art gallery. And , in essence, it is just enough.

What a fun premise! Ashley Greene runs out of a bridal salon and slips on the icy cement. She hits her head and loses two years of her memory; instead of being excited to marry her current fiancé, she thinks she's still engaged to her old boyfriend. Hallmark has made "amnesia Christmas" movies before, so if you like that type of story, definitely check this one out. You've got two good-looking leads to look at for ninety minutes, and I've never seen Andrew Walker give such moony eyes to his love interest before. He's pretty dreamy in this movie, so you'll probably forgive him for dragging out "the big mystery" until the very end. Since Ashley thinks they're still together, she obviously has no memory of how or why they broke up. But the entire time she's spending time with him, trying to get her memory back and rekindling her old passions (for her art career, what else?), she never asks him why they broke up. Instead, she tells her friend, Donna Benedicto, and Andrew tells his brother, Preston Vanderslice, that they feel too nervous to bring it up. I know; it's very silly. He knows she has amnesia. It'll take three seconds to ask the question, and no one will think she's needlessly rehashing the past.
Besides that very obvious plot hole, Christmas on My Mind is an entertaining holiday romance. It has lots of eye candy, and it's one of those feel-good flicks that remind you what's really important.

For a hallmark movie I consider it good standard but I felt her character was lost and that she was like a one dimensional character but it's still worth a watch

I must preface this by saying I am only thirty minutes into the movie, but I feel like I am the one with amnesia.
In only three minutes, I felt like I had missed the first ten minutes. She slipped and bumped her head but got up only seconds later, forgetting the last two years? This feels very rushed to me and leaves me feeling confused.

I enjoyed this movie. Both leafs were really good most of the time. There were two ridiculous lines from Greene
and probably two from Walker.
I have watched it a few times and one of my top 5 hallmark Christmas movies of all time. The characters worked so well together and chemistry came in spades. The key was the movie worked.
The storyline could use a half hour extra for development but wouldn't fit hallmark timing.
All in all great movie. Ashley green fan after this, and was never a twilight fan. I think she played this so well.
This movie is one of my 3 rewatchable movies regularly of the hallmark family for Xmas.

This is written to the author of the book this movie is made from. I tried to send it to her on her site but it wouldn't go through. It can serve as a review of the movie as well:
Ms Hunter,
I have to implore you - please stop letting Hallmark ruin your books! The constant out of place background music. The story lines being ruined. I don't remember this book taking place at Christmas time. And your books are so wonderful and romantic but this just makes the deep storylines too light hearted. There was so much emotion in the book and that does not translate here. A December Bride was better. Still not great but better. And don't get me started on The Convenient Groom. That was one of my favorites of yours and that movie just pulverized it. Terrible actors not to mention the storyline wasn't even the same! I loved the idea of my favorite books coming to life but I am going to have to stop watching them before all my favorites are ruined forever! I hope that wasn't too harsh but I just wanted to convey how disappointed I am.
I hope that is enough of a review for this movie even though it is directed at the author of the original book.

I like the idea of a sort of "While You Were Sleeping" plot. But the story was slow moving.
It had all the elements of a Hallmark Christmas movie- winter festival, small town, attractive people, children that tug on your heartstrings.
But it seemed to drag.
The conflict is that Lucy wake up with no memory, she ends up in the small town where she grew up, of course when the town is having a week-long winter festival.
Her ex-fiancé is there and there is a "mystery" of why she broke of the engagement two years ago.
The make things interesting Lucy has a current beau and a high-powered life in the big city,
All the elements that should make for a fun romp through the winter wonderland of a Christmas romance. But something about it is flat. It just seems to drag.

Zero spark in her character. And it the whole film starts so awkwardly. This is the first major dud from Hallmark in an otherwise great season.
