But also I rewatched this, this past year and wanted to given some insight on ABH and working with Samhel.
Working with Sam was and still is, one of the few times I worked with someone who has treated me with constant respect even well after the fact of creating something together. During filming, I just remember laughing a ton and being asked what would be okay in a scene, or leaving some elements up to me and what I wanted to express within my comfort levels. Looking back, I think I could've pushed myself even further but I'll keep that in mind for Vania 2 c;
The sound set up I had back then was a closet with blankets and an ill-fitted mic that did the job but wasn't the best for clean and clear audio, I'm happy and lucky that now I have a more suited mic and a sound booth I made with my dad! (PVC, wood, and sound blankets!) You can actually hear a lot of a difference between this and Flesh Eater X.
Aside from some technical stuff, my favorite sub-genre of vampire film, is the concept of someone believing their a vamp when they aren't. Like Vampire's Kiss, Habit, The Addiction, etc. I'm glad to have been in one myself now c:
I will never not be proud of being a part of this. I had such a good time during and after the filming. If anyone sees this and wants to work with Sam in the future, I'm more than open to giving my recommendation and answering any questions about the process as well.
