How can anyone watch this and not be thinking- give it ten more years and she'll be shaving her head? I hope with all my heart that it won't come to pass, but this overproduced and overblown effort to create stardom for the sake of stardom is mind-blowing. Miley has a pleasant enough voice, but all the bells and whistles (and pyrotechnics and massive financial expenditures) are definitely putting the cart before the horse- she hasn't risen to stardom, she has been shoved up there by folks seeking the all-mighty dollar. And the few moments showing Miley's mother are downright eerie- she's focused on the girl as if it is a life or death event, not an entertainment production. No smiles, no enjoying the music- she looks like a cat watching a canary in a cage. When interviewed, she seems to think helping her daughter with costume changes is the main proof that she's a concerned mom. Time may prove me wrong and that'd be a great thing, because statistically speaking child stars pushed to the top by obsessive parents just don't seem to do well in the long run.
In summary, lots of flash, non-memorable music. But I am grateful to see that Miley and her backup group can dance well without resorting to oversexed bumps and grinds.

this was no more than a money making stunt that is working. the only reason that this movie is a hit is due to the kids that like Miley Cyrus. I do think that everyone that was in the so called movie should have received compensation as an extra just like they would in a real movie. it's no more than a music video. The adding of the Jonas Bro was another marketing ploy to generate money.
If Miley Cyrus wants to hit the big screen she should go about it through a real movie. She does have talent but she will not expand herself through this type promotions.
She should talk to the Olsen twins for some pointers or go with a new manager. someone is not doing there job here

I can't even believe we saw this concert back then. Me and my sister wouldn't wake my dad up in the concert when the Jonas Brothers showed up. He did ended up sleeping during the concert.

Greed. Greed. Shameless greed. Gouging the public is bad enough, but targeting 8 to 12 year-old girls is just horrific.
Let's teach our daughters a valuable lesson about exploitation and skip this marketing fluff. Let's say "NO" to this greedy, overblown, and mediocre talent that Disney is trying to push on our impressionable daughters.
Their shrewd scheme to create an artificial demand by using over-inflated ticket prices is just another reason to boycott Disney.
My daughter has been a huge Hannah Montana fan. I've seen the TV show a few times, it was OK but nothing special. I was stupid and allowed my daughter to buy her CD's and video games. But no more. My daughter will not be buying any more Hannah Montana garbage.
160 bucks for a concert, I laughed and said "No way sweetie" to that. Then 15 bucks a ticket for a movie, I just pulled my money back and told the cashier no thanks!
Please people, don't pay another dime on this scam. Its time to punish these people. Please, please, please ... boycott this film and the Hannah Montana show & merchandise. They are so shameless and the worst example of greed that I've ever seen aimed at young girls.

Okay, I know at this point Miley Cyrus is probably on the upper hand of morality in comparison to other teen icons. But am I the only one who gets sick of this type of thing? Various companies (in this case Disney) overly promote an up-and-coming teenage singer or actor, sucks the originality out of it, then makes us sick to our stomach with it. During this period of time, millions of preteens look up to them with little puppy dog eyes, then they pull something off that's really dumb, and then look at the example kids look up to. Let's go through teen stars. Hilary Duff is seen occasionally, but look at "Material Girls". Not exactly a movie to be proud of. Jamie Lynn Spears got pregnant at 16. While this is quite common and I'm not saying they're bad people, but they've made mistakes. Next, Lindsay Lohan. Britney Spears. Enough said.
Wasn't there a point when most every one of these stars was Ms. Teen Incredible? Now don't we frown up them? I'm not saying every child star hasn't had a major earth-shattering problem, but these days, aren't more child stars turning into pretentious teens with babies that grew up listening to the same music their parents grew up listening to? I pray every night that in 10 years we won't be watching our kids' icons shave their head and end up in rehab before they can legally drink, but aren't the odds going against them. Is there a parent out there right now that can't be imagining this while they watch this movie?
As for the film itself, I'm not going to say that Miley Cyrus doesn't have a better voice than a large number of celebrity teens that try and start careers with lackluster talent, but is this anything special? I can't help think the same thing with the Jonas Brothers. You've got people like LeAnn Rimes and Jodie Foster that started at least this young an moved on to multi-Grammy and Oscar winning careers. There are few worse things to do than watch wannabe stars parade around pretending they're kings and queens of their worlds. What'll happen when the novelty of these Disney-made stars wears off? They'll never shake that image. 3D special effects were excellent, but the things they effect are so depressing that they're wasted.
I know I'm blunt and agree with the cynical speculators that question what'll happen to these kids, but I can't apologize for what I think.

I took my 8 yr old daughter to see this just yesterday. I wasn't happy about having to see it myself but I know my daughter had been asking to go so I did it for her. Miley is a likable girl and I hope she can stay the course of being a good role model for younger kids. I also seem to think that she has a lot riding on her as the lead for all this Hanna Montana promotion and she seems to take it well. Hopefully she wont go the way of Britney or Linsday. Kids need someone to look up to when they are young. But this movie/concert is not for sane adults. I closed my eyes through a lot of the Jonas Bros. and Miley concert footage. The only things that were vaguely entertaining were the behind-the-scenes footage. The concert itself is fairly mundane for most sane adults.

i saw this movie with my sister of course she enjoys it because she likes her on the other hand the 3-d part of this movie is just a big scam if u want to see a good movie you should at least see the comments and ratings it gets before you decide to waste your money as I did in my opinion it is a waste of time but if you are an adult who wants to bring their children for the fun and enjoyment, then this movie is a great choice. You are better off watching Hannah Montana on television for free. You get to see her act and sing instead of paying $15.00 for one ticket. Like I said though if you want go for the little ones and see what they think of it, because the only reason i believe people think this movie is a musing is because it's 3-d but, I thought it wasn't at all.

Do not waste your time or money on this absolutely terrible Movie! This is an obvious attempt to cash in on the Hannah Montana fame. Unfortunately, she has NO talent! It was painful to watch and the soundtrack is just terrible! This poor kid really has no talent! She is nothing but a Spears wannabe! This definitely is her 15 minutes of fame! A truly complete waste of film! You can tell she lip-synced many of the songs. Stay away and don't waste your money!
There are a lot more talented singers who deserve a look. This is one trashy teenage movie! My daughter really hated this movie! Hannah Montana, I hope your 15 minutes is just about up!

I am not a teen but I fully expected to enjoy this concert film; based on all the hype and my lifelong appreciation of rock music. It was because I appreciate rock music that I hated this piece of trash.
Miley Cyris has no talent AT ALL, her back-up band is REAL loud but otherwise useless, her lyrics (if you can make them out) are heartless and stupid. Smoky Robinson would turn over in his grave, if he were dead. Bill Haley is surely looking down from his Rock in the sky with disgust.
This film could serve as Exhibit #1 as to why God ought end us all in 2008. But, still, this thing is better than the fodder for intellectual empty-heads known as "No Country for Old Men." Honestly, if you MUST choose between Hanna Montana and No Country, STAY HOME. But if you can't then choose Hanna and skip No Country.

Since this review has to have 10 lines for a decent review - here is what I have to put in words. If swearing was allowed in this review I could go on for hours about how bad this movie was.If I could give it any stars it would be 0 stars out of 10.Instead I gave it a generous 1 star out of 10 cos it was a god damn awful movie.
I only watched this for 5 minutes cos I was forced to watch it.I got enough material for this review.I just went to my room cos I was angry cos I hate Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana so much. After my anger cooled down I couldn't help but laugh with scorn cos it was so laughable.People shouldn't be wasting their money to see this fake singer
I really feel bad for anyone who likes Hannah Montana cos of three reasons 1. She CANT SING nor ACT 2. Is a bad role model and isn't worth sticking up for 3. She is fake and is a TOTAL Brit wannabe
Watch this only if nothing else is on TV.It is definitely one of the biggest pieces of sh*t i have ever seen and If you like it YOU HAVE NO TASTE in movies.

First, I did not see this movie. My wife took our eight-year-old daughter for a girls' night out and they enjoyed it immensely. And that's the reason to see this movie.
I tried like crazy to get tickets to the concerts, but missed out. While it is clear that this is a "money grab", it's also "sort of" an apology from Disney for messing up the ticketing for the concert. Although $15 is extreme for a 74 minute show, it suited my daughter just fine. She got real-cool 3-D glasses (not the cheap cardboard kind), ate popcorn, spent time with her mom, and got to see Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers perform on stage outside the rather limited format of the Disney show. She couldn't be happier.
So, the way I see it, I saved about $150 plus parking and souvenirs, and about six hours of my life, for the bargain price of $15. If only everything was this easy.

Alright, I have to confess that I have no clue as to who Hannah Montana is, except that she is some "it"girl with some links to Disney, and was spoofed in Superhero Movie. She's a character played by Miley Cyus, daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, who has to don a long and silky blonde wig to play her alter ego, and perhaps the only time I've seen Miley perform, was lending her non singing voice in Bolt.
So I was precisely the proverbial fish out of water who knew zilch about the influence of Miley's reach, and know nothing too about the songs in both Montana and Cyrus' discography. But of course that didn't persuade me otherwise not to go for this concert movie to find out a lot more in under 90 minutes, and being a 3D movie provided extra reason to do so as well.
Being what would be my first 3D concert movie, the depth of field here worked wonders in tricking your senses that you were there at the performance, and every hand that shot up to wave about, or a pop of a head because of enthusiastic fans jumping up and down, would have you either want to reach out and slap them, or like the kids in the audience, they too were lured to mimic such typical enjoyment as if they were there, swaying, dancing, running around, doing cartwheels even (!) just in front of the screen. These kids provided an additional D with their honest, devil-may-care participation.
One too would expect just performance of a number after performance, and the only truly 3D-ish moments was the drummer who executed tossing his drumstick into the air, and with Miley herself throwing one right toward the camera, which made you cringe. Other than that, there's nothing unusual, and the documentary aspect of preparing for her concert turned out to be rather plain as well, beginning with designing the stage and the moves on a mock location, before wrapping everything after a full dress rehearsal for the actual performing location.
Expect a number of talking heads from parents to co-performers peppering this concert movie, though there's absolutely nothing scandalous being said, more like plenty of pats on the back. Of the "two" performers here, personally I preferred Miley Cyrus' turn rather than Hannah Montana, which I felt was a little bit fake to begin with, and of the songs performed, I had preferred Cyrus' selection over Montana's. Then again, what would I know, since they're essentially the same person, and the age group this is targeted at, would have more discerning opinions.
I'm just there to soak up the atmosphere, really. Give us U23D!

My generation, we had the Spice Girls, you know how they were so hated, they were too perky, too fake, too sexy, too advertised, had everything they wanted, the list goes on and on, but 12 year old girls(like I was at the time) absolutely adored them. We also had a movie called Spice World which again got a ton of hate, while the movie was terrible, it was the new generations "Gimme Shelter" or even "Yellow Submarine", now most would argue with me because the music was better back in the day, hey, guess what? Their parents thought the same thing, now we have Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour, the whole point of my ramble is, this is the new Spice World, little girls look up to Hannah Montana, as silly as it is, we have all been through the same thing generation after generation. We always get into the same argument, notice a pattern here? It's rather scary when you think it over.
Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour takes you back stage with Miley Cyrus, her big preparation for her big concert. She talks with family and friends, talks a little bit about her character/alter ego Hannah Montana and what a journey it's been. We find out from her screaming fans why she is so wonderful, what people would go through to get those tickets for her concert. There is also a special performance from The Jonas Brothers, Miley goes on as Hannah and then later on performs as herself.
Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour honestly is good for the 12 year old's, in my opinion, the concert was pretty cool to watch. I watched this with my 10 year old cousin and I just saw how her eyes lite up as she sang to the songs, so you know what? I think this was nice for the little one's, it's a Disney Movie, it's Hannah Montana, so I really don't know what people were expecting. It's also very short, so I wasn't tortured with it or anything, like I said, we go through this every generation, Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour is just the new concert/artist biography for the little girls who need an idol to look up too.

I am not a fan at all of Miley Cyrus or Hannah Montana, and not of 3D either. But I saw Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus:The Best of Both Worlds Concert out of curiosity, and in all honesty it is an experience that I wish to forget. It's not quite as unwatchable as the Jonas Brothers 3D concert, but while I disliked that as well especially for the screaming even the recent Justin Bieber movie was better than this.
Miley Cyrus herself is a big part of the problem. I have never thought of her much as an actress nor as a role model, and that is including the Hannah Montana movie and The Last Song, I do find her presence very forced. Here is no exception, I do not think she has any charisma and she really does not seem to be enjoying herself. Her singing is even worse I feel, I dislike her shrill, shrieky tone and her pitching always feels flat for my musical ears.
Let's get onto the music. I love music just as much as I love film but I honestly hated the music here. It feels as though it was written in a hurry with no heart and soul as the lyrics are cheesy and unmemorable and the melodies are dull and plodding, yes even the more upbeat songs. And it doesn't help that the sound itself is so grungy. The choreography is also messy with a complete lack of imagination and feel for the song, and when it comes to performing it the backing group actually did a better job than Miley did. Before I do get flamed, I do know it takes time, work and effort to produce a concert, but it also requires heart which is severely lacking here.
That's not all. I did not like how the concert was shot. The camera angles go at really dizzying angles, the lighting alone gave me a headache and the editing feels cheap. And I see I am not the only one who found the close-ups of the mother really creepy, or that most of the interviews were embarrassing or even the screaming audience got too much. Then there is the 3D, which in my view was not necessary, and what is worse it was badly done as well not only lacking clarity but also distracting rather than enhancing.
All in all, a must perhaps for Miley Cyrus fans but other than that a waste of time and something to stay clear of. 1/10 Bethany Cox

I honestly didn't know how to rate this film. Let's be honest, it wasn't my first choice. As a matter of fact, it wasn't my choice at all. I couldn't get my 8 year old daughter tickets to the concert, so when this movie came out I jumped at the opportunity. My pleasure did not come from Miley, or the music or even the better than average 3d effects. No, I gave this movie an 8 because it made my daughter happy, and in a small way, I was able to redeem myself (or my image as her hero) for not getting her tickets to the concert. Of all the "sacrifices" us parents do for our kids, watching this movie was a walk in the park. Miley is an adorable young lady and as as far as role models go, she's OK (so far.... cross your fingers Billy.) ;o)

I see a lot of comments on this movie and they're saying it's bad. I know it's not an acting movie, but it was really entertaining! I loved it. My mom took me to see and I was so glad she did! Miley is one of my favorite celebrities. I wasn't able to go to any of her concerts, so going to the movies to see her in concert was awesome! I love all her songs. Also, having the Jonas Brothers on it was the best. I love them, they're so cute and have amazing songs! I loved how they had there little moments in there, and how they were able to do some of there songs. Anyways, I love this movie and everyone can enjoy it! So, all and all, this was a great, entertaining movie for kids!

First I have to say, after seeing this opening night with my child, I wonder if some of these people that wrote reviews actually saw it. The movie itself was in 3D 90% of the time, using 3D for depth perception. The 3D effects were absolutely amazing, and she did a really good job for being the age she is. Yes, the Jonas Brothers are in the movie very little, with good reason. THEY are not the headliners. The movie itself seemed short, but yes, for those of us who could not get tickets to the concert, this was a great alternative. She's a great role model for the younger kids, and I must say, if you wait to try and see this on DVD, how many of us own a 5 story movie screen to enjoy the 3D effects? Do yourself a favor, take your child to enjoy this, and don't go in expecting to hate it, you'll enjoy it.
OK. I'll be honest. I am a 19 year old guy who went to see this with a few on my friends(18 years old) and we enjoyed it immensely. Haha. I am quite fond of Hannah Montanas little poppy catchy songs(and I like hard rock music, go figure!) I was singing along with my friends and we just had fun. Thats what this movie is about, just have fun with it. The 3D was pretty good, made it feel like you were at a concert and all. Just plain fun. Though, my one issue is I really do not like how Disney exploits its stars at all. But none the less, the movie was just fun. :D Any little Hannah Montana fan will be fond of this, to bad its not in theaters anymore(even though this was Disney just trying to make more millions of its produce i.e-Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus).
