Objectively speaking, Scumbag is rushed, full of stereotypes, (possibly) made on purpose and just simplistically following Slovakia's recent socio-political events. In this sense Scumbag it's simply an uninteresting below-average thriller. But the film's "value" lies in the fact, that many things are NOT a fiction (and are strongly based in reality) and that the reality, which the film reflects, is monstrous.
Big thanks to everyone who made this movie happen. Unbelievable what real artists can do in such a short time. It made me search the events that happen in the last years in Slovakia and recap them in the current context. How can you see those faces still there?
