Upon its initial airing in France, the film was immediately followed by a debate about child abuse, moderated by Carole Gaessler.
The film is based on a novel which is itself based on a true story, "The Marina Affair", however character names were changed. Thus, the real life Marina Sabatier became Diana in the novel and Stella Dubois in the film.
