- Moving from Europe to exotic Indonesia has proven to be quite a challenge for Paula's family. Her Mother has a hard time adapting to the country. Her sister, Kate, is acting up as a rebellious stubborn teen. And her Father's workaholic nature is causing tension in the family that has even resulted in talk of divorce. Paula realizes that the only thing that can save her family is a Christmas miracle, but there's no Christmas in Indonesia. Paula's new friend, a local boy Akim offers a ray of hope by telling Paula about shamans who live in the jungle. There might even be a Christmas shaman somewhere there - the one who makes miracles happen! Even the recent uproar over lost tourists and rumors of cannibalism cannot stop the two kids from deciding to go into the jungle. And so the adventure begins! Brave kids jump on a truck on their way to the mysterious jungle during the pitch of the night. Kids get haunted by the evil jungle spirits resulting them falling into underground cave. Fortunately, a merchant Ibu Mama, saves them. Kids meet Dayak tribe that prepare for the day of the dead, first frightened but later they become part of this celebration. They meet Shaman Bapak, who directs them to "The End of the World", that's where they will find the Christmas Shaman. On they're way to the the Heart of the Jungle, kids get caught by net trap. Meanwhile, parents are frustrated with the investigation led by police so they are looking for a way to find the kids. Akims father contacts his relatives in the jungle. The kids were caught by the World Saviours - the lost tourists, who stayed in the jungle to fight the devastation made by gold mining company. The end of the world is actually deforested part of the jungle left behind by mining. Akim wants to stay help the activist good cause, but Paula needs to save the Christmas. Akim admits he lied - he is no jungle expert and there is no Christmas Shaman. However, world saviour Anna tells Paula that there is a man with a long white beard on the top of the mountain. She continues her journey alone facing new dangers, later miraculously saved by Akim. Kids meet the so called Man from the North, but despite the long beard and glasses he does not share any resemblance with Santa Claus. He is a grumpy old man who hates kids. Disappointed the kids get back to the World Saviours village to find out it is destroyed by mercenaries of Gold mining company. Kids try two free the captive World Saviours but get caught themselves, suddenly the grumpy old man appears and he saves the kids and frees the activists. Kids rejoin with the family and Paula show father the devastation caused by his company. Father agrees to quit his job. Family unites for annual tradition - Christmas play, that they show to the local jungle tribe. All together for this Christmas! Who said there's no Christmas in the jungle?
