Based on the manga series by Ryoutarou Iwanaga which was first serialized in 2002 for Magazine GREAT before the series was switched to being serialized for Monthly Shonen Magazine in November 2006.
The car that the Pumpkin Scissors platoon drive around in is a VW Schwimmwagon type 166. It was used during WW2 by the Germans.
Gespenst Jäger is German for "Ghost Hunter".
