Yes, I was drawn to this film by the poster. I had not heard of this title and it seemed to keep my interest as I looked at the cover on-line. Personally, I detest hype and the American machine of selling movies from spicy advertisements that hardly live up to their 2 minutes of flash and boom. I am pleased to write this as I have never written a comment other than a reply to blogs in the past. I did read the reviews of this picture and I am very pleased that I chose to watch this film. 3 Days Gone is a modern day story that makes you sit in the back seat of a taxi and suddenly the driver locks all the doors. You are alarmed by this but you try to remain calm as you watch the cab slowly pick up speed. You are approaching 300 K's per hour and the driver opens the door and jumps out leaving you to crash and burn. It felt like sort of an exciting panic watching 3 Days Gone, I found myself talking to the characters in the film out loud. The story is not like other films that I have seen and the camera work is dark and stylistic. Not seeing much direction of the film did not detract from the entire piece but it could have been better. In the reviews of this film, you read about the acting performances as being good but watching the film is the only way to describe the Cowboy. The name Cowboy Jack when you read it is not what had come to my mind. This character seduces you from the moment that he comes to the screen. Being the main reason that I am writing this review is Cowboy Jack and I will search for other films that this actor has been in for this movie alone. I will stop there with Cowboy Jack as I hate to read reviews that spoil a movie so I will highly recommend this film and say that I had a most exhilarating ride with this film 3 Days Gone and I am buying it for friends as a gift this holiday season.
