WWII. July of 1944. Two military trenches, one with Soviet Russia soldiers, the other with Romanian soldiers, are facing at about 70 yards the one from the other in Northern Romanian territory. Three remaining Romanian soldiers are dying of thirst in their trench. One is badly wounded. It is a scorching hot day. There is a fountain at the middle point between the two trenches. A truce is asked by the soldiers in order to get some water. Will the truce hold?
