Nacha Mendez is involved in the deep-rooted Latin music scene in New Mexico. Where KANW 89.1 FM is the radio station been playing Spanish music performed by New Mexico artists since the early 1970s. People that have influenced the scene include Nosotros, the Manzanares brothers, and Felix y Los Gatos.
