Obviously this had a very low budget and is basically a home movie, but I appreciate that they tried to make something compelling. For child actors, the girls were fine. I liked the scenic location of the bridge. I wish we could've known what happened to Grace though, I felt like that was a missing piece. And what was her motivation? Why was she haunting Rose? And why could Emily suddenly see her when she couldn't before? And the mother was so awful towards Rose, and also seemed like she couldn't have given less of an f making it. Overall, it's pretty bad, but I wasn't expecting anything mind-blowing.

This was a waste of time to even watch. It's obviously cheaply made. The actors and actresses are terrible. All stiff and just terrible. Somehow other people liked it. Probably friends and family. They look straight into the camera many times, just not professional at all. Its basically about a little girl named Rose who found her sister Grace dead. Then of course she sees Grace everywhere. The mother in this is so stiff and also does a terrible job. The cop in this talks to Roses friend instead of knocking on the door himself and looking for Roses mother. I seriously don't know how this made it to the screen.

Absolutely awful..the worse thing to do is use family and friends if they can't act. The dialogue was uninteresting, the acting wooden and the scare jumps never happened. Not sure how this made it to screen. I wouldn't mind the camcorder affect if everything else was good but it got to the point I was fast forwarding it ( only so long i can watch a girl walking. The mother acted with her arms and nothing else. Not even trying to pretend to cry at her daughters funeral. The characters were one dimensional. It felt like a home made movie a child would make with dress up . It's a film that shows acting isn't easy....don't waste your time.

This film was created with an iPhone? Amazing! Brilliant young Actresses and a stunning performance by Ms Bell. Hard to believe this was their first film. Can't wait to see what Basinger Films creates next.

Came across this film on YouTube and it definitely caught my attention. I love horror movies and I watch a lot of short films. This one was different. It obviously has a very low budget but it has heart. I definitely understand what the artist was trying to get across with this film but based on some other reviews I think others missed that point all together. I mean this film isn't winning any Oscar's but the directing was good. I honestly really enjoyed the music in this film and the young acting isn't too bad either. I read some of the other reviews for this film and everyone is out to get the mother. I think the mother (Jennifer Bell) nailed it. You have a love hate relationship with her character.
The Passing is a good 2 1/2 stars.

I quite enjoyed this film. Anyone who has lost a loved one can tap into the emotions. It's a drama about love, loss, and guilt.
The young actresses do a fine job although I am a bit put off by the insensitivity of the mother character.
I would have liked to know more about what happened to Grace, but maybe it's ok not knowing. I feel as if the answer lies in how Grace knew what her little sister had planned.
The music is quite lovely, appropriate, and adds to the overall mood of the film. I can tell that a lot of thought and care went into this movie.
I am glad I watched it, and I would love to see more from Basinger Films.

YouTube and the small screen doesn't do this film justice. I was lucky enough to see it in the theater in its limited run and I can truly say that I was on the edge of my seat the entire movie.
The story was gripping and the young actors truly put their stamp on their performances. The cinematography and location filming provided a gritty experience that so many films today seem to neglect in an effort to just create bigger and scarier jump scenes. The level of authenticity in the chosen locations was truly impressive.
I applaud the first time writer, director and editor on this masterwork of suspense.
I truly hope this isn't his only film.
