It's totally a coming-of-age-angst film, but there are some funny, adult sized bits in here! Lots of cussing, discussing body parts and doing the deed. Jacob wants to figure out how to get his girlfriend back, so he goes on a road trip with his friends. And of course, he bumps into his ex. It's a mixed bag of stuff. Some bits work, and some don't. We go down some odd side roads that don't really go anywhere. The dude, stealing a goat from the satanists. An odd scene in the bathroom between a gay guy and a straight guy. But then, there's a funny bit about how girls get to meet the hot guy in a group. The captain taxi cab was pretty funny too. Lots of talk about the right way to deal with your girlfriend/boyfriend. It's pretty good! Currently showing on roku, amazon, appltv, and hoopla. Released down unda in the pandemic year 2020, so we can cut it some slack. Written, directed, edited, produced, and even bar tended by tom danger. Now i want to go find his other project Lead me Astray.
Looking for a feel good Aussie film?
Looking for some laughs?
Look no further than Sweethurt!
I hadn't heard much about it, and my partner likes comedy films. So we thought, why not give it a go.
Best. Decision. Ever.
This film had us laughing from the start. It's very well executed, good story line and plot. Quirky in all the good ways.... and not so good ways. Hahha. It was unexpected and refreshing.
I don't want to give anything away, so go and watch it already.
