A new trailer for Marvel/Netflix's latest superhero series, The Punisher, has dropped! While we never get tired of seeing Frank Castle on the warpath, this trailer shows us something we hadn't seen yet, a release date.
Netflix has graced us with yet another bloody trailer for Marvel's The Punisher series. The previous few gave us a good idea at how brutal the series was going to be, but today's gave us two things we hadn't had yet. A little bit of exposition and an official release date.
November 17, while great that it's close, feels like a missed opportunity on Netflix's part. If they had released the series a week earlier, on the 10th, they'd have released it on the Marine Corp. birthday. Considering Frank Castle was a former Marine, this would've been very timely.
Nevertheless, the Marine Corp. will get to eat their cake on 10th and have it...

Netflix has just released the full trailer for Marvel's The Punisher, and holy freakin' shit! This series looks insanely great! This first trailer is powerful, brutal, and awesome. I can't wait to see this series! It looks like it could be the best of the Netflix Marvel series so far. Just wait until you watch this trailer! There's no way Marvel and Disney would have given us a film that is as hardcore as this series looks. This is going to be the proper adaptation that The Punisher deserves.

Netflix has released a collection of photos from Marvel's upcoming series The Punisher featuring Frank Castle, Karen Page, and several other characters. I also included a new promo spot that was released that highlights a major cover up. It came along with the caption, "How deep does the cover up go?"
With every new thing I see from the series, it's hard not to get excited! Frank Castle is just such a badass character and I'm excited to see the story that this solo series will tell. One thing is for certain... it's going to be badass!
Jon Bernthal will reprise his role as Frank Castle from Marvel’s Daredevil and he’s joined by newcomers Ben Barnes as Billy Russo (the civilian name of the villain Jigsaw), Frank’s Castle’s best friend from his days in the Special Forces who runs a successful private military corporation called “Anvil;” Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Micro,...

How apt… on the day that Marvel’s The Defenders goes live on Netflix, perfect for a binge-watching marathon this weekend, Netflix have unveiled a brand-new trailer for their next Marvel series, The Punisher – which sees Jon Bernthal return as Frank Castle having already made an appearance as the character in Marvel’s Daredevil.
The Punisher also stars Ben Barnes as Billy Russo, Frank’s Castle’s best friend from his days in the Special Forces who runs a successful private military corporation called “Anvil;” Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Micro, a former Nsa analyst whose secrets may be of great value to Frank Castle and everyone around them; and Amber Rose Revah (Indian Summers, Son of God) as Dinah Madani; a highly-trained sophisticated Homeland Security agent who is vexed by the Punisher.

There's an excitement for Marvel's upcoming new Netflix series The Punisher. We recently shared a poster for the series, and now today we know when it's going to premiere! According to one of the director's of the series Dearbhla Walsh, The Punisher will be released in November! During an interview with THR, Walsh said:
“[I’ve directed] one other time that hasn't been aired yet, which was an episode for the new Marvel series The Punisher, which I did just before Christmas, but it's not airing until November.“I directed that in New York and edited in L.A., but this was my first directing experience in lovely Canada.”
Sounds like this is a bit of information that she may have let slip on accident. Marvel hasn't released an official release date yet, but it's looking like November in the month fans will get to see Frank Castle go ballistic and destroy people in his solo series.

Though it may not be official, actor Daniel Webber has shared our first look at the starry cast of The Punisher, Marvel and Netflix’s 2017 spinoff series headed up by Jon Bernthal. Say hello to Team Punisher, ladies and gentlemen.
Posted via Webber’s Instagram account over the weekend, here we see a bearded Bernthal flanked by Jason R. Moore, Michael Nathanson, Amber Rose Revah, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Jaime Ray Newman, Daredevil co-star Deborah Ann Woll and finally, Ben Barnes. The cameras have been rolling on The Punisher since October, which means it shouldn’t be too much longer before Netflix decides to drop the first reel of footage – in the build-up to Iron Fist‘s premiere in March, perhaps?
When it comes to how those actors filter into the story, two months ago Netflix posted an official round-up of the show’s core cast, including brief character bios and a...

THR report that relative newcomer Ross Marquand (Down and Dangerous, A Lonely Place for Dying, The Congregation) has joined The Walking Dead as a series regular for the remaining episodes of its fifth season. They say exact details on who he'll be playing are still under wraps, but since we know a gay character from the comics is set to debut when the show returns, could it be Aaron? If so, he could well serve as a lead-in to the Alexandria Safe-Zone storyline that most fans expect to see next. Of course that's all just speculation as Marquand could be playing someone else entirely -- though something tells me it won't be brick shithouse baddie Negan anyway! What do you think?...

Well, this is a shame. My most-anticipated movie of the year has now garnered the same title, but for next year. Warner Bros. has announced they’ve lifted Alfonso Cuaron‘s Children of Men follow-up, the sci-fi epic Gravity, from November 21st, 2012 to an undisclosed spot in 2013.
We provided the first impressions of the first testing screening last week, for the film starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, but word is that the visual effects were in the very rough stages, only 10% to 15% complete. For such an ambitious undertaking, these filmmakers might need a little more time to complete this one. Universal Pictures recently moved Keanu Reeves‘47 Ronin from this spot as well, with Parental Guidance, the Red Dawn remake, Rise of the Guardians and The Silver Linings Playbook remaining.
In other release date news, WB has also placed their 1940s-set crime drama Gangster Squad on the date of September 7th,...

How many web users are currently being sued for alleged online copyright infringement in the Us? The folk at TorrentFreak, who have been obsessively logging these cases, claim 200,000 BitTorrent users are now involved in some stage of lawsuit, and claim settling with a relatively small fee on a large number of cases is fast becoming a way that rightsholders can profit from piracy.
Nearly all the 201,828 cases have been filed against BitTorrent users who allegedly shared music online, with a small number using eD2k. Once lawyers for the rightsholders have identified individuals, they generally offer to settle for a typical penalty of $2,500 which means no further legal costs or risking larger $150,000 infringement fines. With 700,000 downloads in less than a month, a neo-noir thriller by newcomer Justin Eugene Evans shoots down the standard distribution model in favor of video-sharing site Vodo.
For director Justin Eugene Evans, making the movie was the easy part. Finding somewhere to show his low-budget tale of Vietnam-era espionage was far more complicated. Even with Oscar-nominated star James Cromwell, (Babe, L.A. Confidential) and the buzz-generating blitz of 39 film festivals, the filmmakers for A Lonely Place for Dying struggled to lock in a distribution deal. "We were approached by independent distributors and just about every top sales agent and rep in Los Angeles," says Evans, but the deals, he claims, were so lopsided in favor of the distributor, he and his investors wouldn't make a dime.
So he turned to an unlikely ally in mainstream Hollywood: the legally murky world of peer-to-peer file sharing, partnering with Vodo, a free video-sharing...

A few days ago we shared the first promotional art for A Lonely Place for Dying, originally posted by Moviehole. I wrote that I liked the look of the images and the poster, but felt a little fuzzy on the details of the story, a 1972 tale about a Russian agent trying to sell secrets to the U.S. Well, as happens once in a while at Cinema Blend, the movie's director answered my questions. Justin Evans sent along not only two more images from the movie, but the film's "sizzle reel," shown to potential buyers at this year's American Film Market. It's a behind-the-scenes look at the film, featuring interviews from stars Michael Scovotti and Ross Marquand as well as Evans himself. He also wanted us to know that the movie is getting its first preview screening in just a few weeks, at the Santa Fe Film Festival on Dec.
