Shakira has revealed plans to release a Spanish album after the birth of her second child – something she hasn’t done in nearly 10 years.
Shakira Teases New Spanish Album
While in Spain, speaking with the EuropaPress, Shakira hinted that her next album would be entirely Spanish-language. “Next year, I think after this baby is born, I’ll start producing my new album. A Spanish album, which is what has me most excited right now,” Shakira said.
The former Voice coach also frequently releases both English-language and Spanish-language versions of her hit songs, but hasn’t released an all-Spanish album since 2005’s Oral Fixation Vol. 1 (Fijacion Oral Vol. 1).
The singer began her career in Colombia before releasing Laundry Service, her first English-language album, in 2001. Her last three albums, She Wolf, Sale et Sol and Shakira have been a mix of English and Spanish – though both She Wolf (2009) and Shakira (2014) are more...

If you ask him, Shakira didn't have an Oral Fixation so much as she had an oral agreement. Antonio de la Rúa, the pop superstar's former boyfriend, is suing Shakira for a whopping $100 million accusing her of breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty for failing to pay her his previously agreed-upon cut for his contributions to her career during the time they were together. The suit, filed Nov. 20 in the Supreme Court of the State of New York and obtained by E! News, claims the businessman and Shakira, full name Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, formed a "business partnership" whose "sole aim…was to market, expand, and profit from the 'Shakira brand.'" One of the...

Okay, I sort of hate the word "smut." Just typing it makes me feel like I've got my hair in a tight bun and am delivering a shrill lecture while tossing your copies of D.H. Lawrence or "Flowers For Algernon" on the fire. (Baaalllllllllzac.) I'm a liberal child of (mostly) liberal parents and was born and raised in the sex-drenched Sodom & Gomorrah of the country: San Francisco. I believe that I'm Okay, You're Okay, that sex is fantastic, fun and should be empowering and that it's wrong to criminalize sex or any (consensual) sex act. Plus I write for this site which is all about boobs, abs, and, oh yes, the occasional film review. That being said, there are some smutty, creepy-ass photos in the magazines the kids are reading these days. And it's not sexy, it's not.

Well, that was just disappointing. In a ridiculous contrivance, Nude Erections now doesn’t have any of the Cheerios’ money, but by the end of the hour, they have it. Mercedes feels like she’s not getting the respect she deserves, but she has “respect” confused with “recognition” because she can’t see past the Aretha Franklin song she learned the word from. Finally, Sue conspires with one-note villains Dustin Goolsby (featuring the Wrath of Sunshine), Sandy Ryerson and Terri to break up Will and Holly, heckle the glee club at their fundraiser concert and do nothing, respectively.
That’s really it. A few little things happened: Santana had a good scene sticking up for Kurt Co-blaine, Mike got to talk (and dance!), the Will and Emma... thing... got rolling again and Rachel didn’t sing, which was nice. So today, in lieu of a scene-by-scene or point-by-point breakdown of...

It’s competition time again on Glee and nobody’s happy: Kurt is beginning to resent Blaine’s monopolization of the Garglers’ solos while Rachel and Quinn bicker over Finn... again. Santana’s gay panic continues, taking her frustrations out on Brittany and Sam as Sue plots the downfall of Nude Erections... again. The glee members audition original music for each other so Will can make a wrong decision... again. Can the club pull a set list together in time to ensure an entirely predictable outcome... again?
Pro: Kurt’s “I’m so over this” face.
Con: The whole scene where the Garglers bicker with each other pompously over inanity. I mean, it was supposed to be comical, but came off like crowd scenes on South Park where everyone in town gets incensed and goes, “rabblerabblerabble!!!” only less amusing.
Pro: This is broken up by Kurt singing another sad Beatles...

Here we are again, my friends, another week into Glee’s wretched second season. However, Eric Stoltz (seriously) directs us, yet again, to a high point in a forest of low. Last time they let him behind the camera, we got “Duets,” the one where Brittana talk about scissoring and Artie loses his virginity. As usual with guest directors, some of the camerawork was noticeably different, which is always welcome.
Tonight’s episode, about alcohol, could have been a mind-bending assault from After-school Special Land, and while there was a bit of that creeping in, the episode managed to be somewhat surprising in its over-all message that yes, alcohol is (or at least can be) fun, but not something to be treated lightly. We were spared most of the teen-show booze clichés (car crash, parental scolding, any real consequences) and only saw the most refreshingly banal of after-effects (vomiting, hangovers,...

Were you aware that one of the most massive singles of 2010 was Shakira's "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)"? As one of a handful of anthems dedicated to the World Cup, it was a chart-topping hit in just about every country except the United States. Such has been the case for Shakira since the beginning of her career, as while she is extremely popular here, she is a true superstar on the international stage, able to sell out stadiums without breaking much of a sweat. Though she has had a handful of hits in the U.S. (like the current single "Loca" and last year's "She Wolf," for example), she came closest to ubiquity in this country when she released Oral Fixation Vol. 2, which came out on this day in 2005.
"The title comes from the fact that I have always lived through my mouth," Shakira said of the title when the album dropped.

Jane Lynch has revealed details about the upcoming season finale of Glee. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the actress explained that the episode will focus on the regionals competition. "So it's New Directions, Vocal Adrenaline and then this other [group]," she said. "What are they called? Oral Fixation or something like that, I forget the name of it. Oral Intensity! But that's just as bad." Lynch, who plays Sue Sylvester, added that Jonathan Groff will have an exciting musical number during the episode. "So there's the three groups, and Vocal Adrenaline is Jonathan Groff's - Jesse St James' - group," she said. "He's back with them. He (more)...

Is it only fitting that Oral Fixation (now out on DVD from LifeSize) sucks? This isn’t even a horror flick—it’s a thriller with no bite, a bland, boring and badly acted low-budget Fatal Attraction clone that quickly grows long in the tooth. Ok, that’s enough bad mouth jokes; I’m truly and sincerely sorry, but for some reason this movie set my teeth on edge. Perhaps I was predetermined to dislike this film because of my own oral fixations—I talk too much, eat all the time, overindulge in sugar and am constantly chewing on my nails. I blame my mom. But enough about my psychological issues—let me give you a lesson in Oral history.

Shakira has revealed that she dressed like a man so she could attend university without attracting attention. The 32-year-old took a break from music in 2006, after releasing the album Oral Fixation Vol. 2, and enrolled on a history course. While at the University of California in Los Angeles, the singer changed her name and wore a disguise so that people would not discover her true identity. In an interview with The Guardian, she said: "I needed a break from me. The universe is so broad, I cannot be at the centre of it. "So I decided to go to the university and study history for a summer course, just to (more)...

The Wizard Of Oz 70th Anniversary Ultimate Collector’S Edition (Warner Bros.) A true highlight in digital restoration technology, Warner Bros. restoration of the 1939 classic is cause for celebration. The Technicolor of the late ‘30s looks as though it was shot yesterday, and is especially stunning on Blu-ray, which was produced by scanning each of the film’s original Technicolor camera negatives using 8K resolution. From this scan, a final “capture” master was created in 4K, yielding twice the resolution seen in the master utilized for the film’s previous DVD release. Judy Garland’s Dorothy is charming as ever, and the entire cast: Ray Bolger, Bert Lahr, Jack Haley and Margaret Hamilton as the Wicked Witch, are all stellar. Four disc set bonuses include: Sing-along track; Documentaries and featurettes; Two 1914 silent films produced by Oz author L. Frank Baum, based on his stories...
