The best thing about this movie is the dog! The boy supposedly being senior in High School, should have placed him in college instead. The supporting actors are just as wooden as the main character. I blame the story line and the boy playing the main character.
I thought this might be a good movie with the cover looking cool but the script was weak and it dragged in the beginning. The main character supposed to be high school but he is 32 years old. He acts like he is supposed to be cool but most of the time he looked geeky and not a very good actor and voice way too low to be high school. Supporting characters are not any better at acting either. Just a lot of poor acting!
You need to take in consideration that these Christian based Movie companies do NOT have the budget like the average big movie companies so the acting and filmography will not be as strong. Many times several of the actors are part of the movie company's families Also the music such as the music in this movie is usually written and performed by one of the actors or family member. Yes these are what we call B movies but they're sweet and are clean movies so that kids can watch them or adults too. No real violence or profanity or sex of drugs and alcohol. So please when you are complaining that it's slow or poorly done....keep this I mind. Sure if they had a big budget it would most likely have turned out differently. PS Dean Cain is in just to put a major actor's face on the movie...not for a big acting part.
All American kid Daniel Knudsen learning to fly also learns his mom whom he
thought was an accountant was crunching numbers for the CIA. And some
bad guys kidnap her.
I saw this broadcast on Christian television and there was little religious reference for that kind of film. What there was though was a most incoherent plot that at times defied rationality.
Also at the beginning Knudsen takes in a stray dog and you think you're going to see a boy/dog picture. But the dog himself becomes a superfluous part of the plot. Considering the title is Sky Dog, there's lots ofsky and little of the dog.
Not a good family film.

WTF???? When will you learn not to cast someone that's nearly twice the age of that they are playing.
