I thought this might be a good movie with the cover looking cool but the script was weak and it dragged in the beginning. The main character supposed to be high school but he is 32 years old. He acts like he is supposed to be cool but most of the time he looked geeky and not a very good actor and voice way too low to be high school. Supporting characters are not any better at acting either. Just a lot of poor acting!

1st why would Dean Cain ever want to do this?
2nd. Who told Daniel Knudsen that he's a good writer and actor?
Terrible acting and horrible story.

I can't even muster the words to describe this pile of garbage. Who funded this nonsense? Did a child of 3 write the screenplay? Awful. Dean Cain doesn't even try anymore, I don't think he ever did. Terrible pile of trash.

They header says it all. Bad acting all the way around from start to finish. The main character finds a dog who adds absolutely no value to the movie. The stunts were sub par. The movie just moved very slowly. Again the acting was horrible. Waste of time. I wondered throughout the movie was it a foreign movie with bad voice overs.

Badly written and poorly acted. Worst mover ever! The Christian plot was thin. Only supported by Christian music.

All American kid Daniel Knudsen learning to fly also learns his mom whom he
thought was an accountant was crunching numbers for the CIA. And some
bad guys kidnap her.
I saw this broadcast on Christian television and there was little religious reference for that kind of film. What there was though was a most incoherent plot that at times defied rationality.
Also at the beginning Knudsen takes in a stray dog and you think you're going to see a boy/dog picture. But the dog himself becomes a superfluous part of the plot. Considering the title is Sky Dog, there's lots ofsky and little of the dog.
Not a good family film.

There's some issues with acting, lines, abrupt transitions, etc. But the plot was interesting and it had good characters. After it got going it was a pretty good movie.
The best thing about this movie is the dog! The boy supposedly being senior in High School, should have placed him in college instead. The supporting actors are just as wooden as the main character. I blame the story line and the boy playing the main character.

Where in the world did this movie come from? First off the dog caught our attention and off we went to start watching, however the dog is completely different in the thumbnail for the movie than what was actually in the movie. The acting is horrendous. The writing seems as though is was written by a 7th grader who was fulfilling a project requirement for school and hello the CIA is a foreign spy agency. Anything domestic is handled by the FBI. Throughout the movie there are so many inaccuracies. My husband and two daughters completely wasted two hours of our lives. Finally what did Dean Cain do to deserve such punishment? I have lost all respect.

The main criticism of this film is that the CIA is barred by law from functioning in the U.S. The FBI handles domestic terrorism cases.

You need to take in consideration that these Christian based Movie companies do NOT have the budget like the average big movie companies so the acting and filmography will not be as strong. Many times several of the actors are part of the movie company's families Also the music such as the music in this movie is usually written and performed by one of the actors or family member. Yes these are what we call B movies but they're sweet and are clean movies so that kids can watch them or adults too. No real violence or profanity or sex of drugs and alcohol. So please when you are complaining that it's slow or poorly done....keep this I mind. Sure if they had a big budget it would most likely have turned out differently. PS Dean Cain is in just to put a major actor's face on the movie...not for a big acting part.

I hadn't heard of this movie, thought oh well a "kid's movie" but by the time it ended I was so glad I spent the time watching it! The dog was carried around a lot and didn't get to do much which I felt a bit bad about but I got past that. The story all in all, a nerdie teenage boy suddenly finding out his parents were CIA agents, his name wasn't even Josh, it was Colt Lifestone and he has a US Passport to prove it! And a CIA agent and his shrew of a wife who were responsible for his mom getting caught by the terrorists are given the job of watching over him (!); wife keeps wanting to "take care of the problem kid"! Add in a great guy friend and a nerdie cute girlfriend along with the agent who is a good friend of his parents who also is in love with his mom. Dean Cane ("Superman") appears in here too. I found it time well spent and recommend it to those looking for family oriented movies that want to feel good when the movie is over. Wait til you see the "reward" Colt gets at the end! Wow! :)
If you are looking for a well made clean family-film, this movie is a good option. It's a genre movie for sure. The storyline was pretty strong and the performances are all solid. If you aren't looking for a fun family movie this isn't for you; if you want one, it's perfect.
