This movie is adapted from the novel by Hanif Thamrin, former International Content Producer at the English Premier League club, Manchester City.
The tagline of this movie, 'The only Indonesian who works in Manchester City', actually means that Hanif Thamrin, the main character of this movie, is the only Indonesian who works in Manchester City at that period. Because prior to it, there are already three Indonesian who worked for Manchester City as International Content Producer.
This movie uses the club name Manchester Club instead of Manchester City because the license of Manchester City Football Club is too expensive. The stadium used is also not Etihad Stadium owned by Manchester City, but Loftus Road owned by Queens Park Rangers.
