HBO returns to the world of Stephen King’s horror classic It with the nine episode prequel series “Welcome to Derry,” and Entertainment Weekly shares the first images today.

Andy Muschietti & Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs are on board the Pennywise prequel project from Warner Bros. Television, with Muschietti set to direct several episodes.

“Welcome to Derry” will kick off its story in 1962 in the time leading up to the events of It: Chapter One (2017). The series is also said to include the origin story of Pennywise the Clown.

“This is a book we love a lot, and we felt that there was still a lot of story to be covered,” Andy and Barbara Muschietti tell EW. “It’s so rich with characters and events, we thought we would do justice to the book and the fans by going back into this world.”

FX dropped a freaky official trailer for American Horror Stories season four. The one-minute trailer teases a bloody good time, with clips from each of the five new episodes airing as part of the 2024 Huluween Event.

The trailer revealed the following titles: “Backrooms,” “The Thing Under the Bed,” “Clone,” “Leprechaun,” and “X.” All five episodes premiere on Hulu on October 15th.

Michael Imperioli (The White Lotus), Henry Winkler (Barry), Dyllón Burnside (Pose), Debby Ryan (Jessie), and Jeff Hiller (American Horror Story: NYC) star in season four episodes. While some may just be getting in the fall and spooky season spirit, Hallmark has planned past the pumpkins and even Thanksgiving turkey for its Christmas slate.

The network’s annual “Countdown to Christmas” lineup has been organized, with 47 all-new original movies across the Hallmark Channel, streamer Hallmark+’s “The Very Merry Holiday Collection” and Hallmark Mystery’s “Miracles of Christmas”.

Viewers looking forward to scary season have another horror series to look forward to. Another season of American Horror Stories is on its way.

There were questions about whether American Horror Stories season 4 would even happen. This is one of those shows where everyone likes to remain quiet about. In the show’s defense, this does mean fewer spoilers get out.

Well, it is happening, and we don’t have to wait too long for it. American Horror Stories season 4 will arrive in time for Halloween.

TVLine reports that the American Horror Story spin-off series will arrive on Tuesday, Oct. 15 on Hulu. It will also be on Disney+ if you get it with the Hulu bundle.

There will be five episodes, and all five episodes will drop at once.

Unlike the main series, American Horror Stories is an episode-by-episode anthology set up.

FX’s American Horror Story spinoff, American Horror Stories, will return with season four this October. The network confirmed the new season will premiere as part of Hulu’s annual Huluween event on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

Season four will consist of five new scary episodes. The network’s releasing all five episodes of the horror anthology series’ new season at once for those who are into binge-watching.

FX’s premiere date announcement did not include any details on the five episodes – not even the titles. However, they did announce the new season’s cast. Michael Imperioli (The White Lotus), Henry Winkler (Barry), Dyllón Burnside (Pose), Debby Ryan (Jessie), and Jeff Hiller (American Horror Story: NYC) will appear in season four. Exclusive: After 12 years at Sony Pictures Television, The Good Doctor creator David Shore is moving shop to 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios, with a premium overall deal. Under the three-year pact, which starts in November when his most recent Sony TV overall deal is up, Shore will develop, write and executive produce original series for 20th Television targeting linear networks and streamers, with a focus on Disney Entertainment Television platforms.

Shore has had only two studio homes for the past two decades. He spent eight years at Universal Television, where he created, executive produced and showran hit medical drama House before moving to Sony TV shortly after that series ended its eight-season run on Fox in 2012. With his followup hit medical drama series, ABC/Sony TV’s The Good Doctor, similarly coming to an end this year after seven seasons, Shore is making a change.

“I Can See Your Voice,” the mystery music show which has been a hit format for South Korea’s Cj Enm, will strike a new chord with its 30th local adaptation set for Singapore.

The show in which guests have to identify whether the contestants are genuinely talented singers or bad singers based solely on lip-syncing and body language, is set to be adapted by public broadcaster Mediacorp. The aim is to eliminate the poor singers while identifying the talented ones to emerge as the winner.

It has previously been given local editions in countries including the U.S., the U.K, Germany, France, Thailand and the Philippines.

Janis Paige, who racked up more than 100 film, TV and stage credits over six decades including The Pajama Game, Silk Stockings and Santa Barbara, died June 2 at her home in Los Angeles. She was 101.

Her friend Stuart Lambert told The Associated Press about Paige’s death.

During her long career, Paige toured with Bob Hope and danced onscreen with Fred Astaire, along with originating the Babe Williams role in The Pajama Game on Broadway in 1954. The CW has revealed its Fall 2024 schedule, which includes very few familiar shows. Returning this fall are Inside the NFL, Sullivan's Crossing, Superman & Lois, and Whose Line Is It Anyway?.

The new fall shows are Joan, The Librarians: The Next Chapter, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, and WWE Nxt (network debut).

New series Good Cop/Bad Cop and Sherlock & Daughter have been mentioned as being held for midseason. There was no mention of previously ordered The Force or returner Run the Burbs.

The fates of numerous original/acquired/partnered series on the network have yet to be announced. It’s been less than two years since the close of Nexstar’s acquisition of The CW and the network’s primetime slate could not look more different.

In addition to the broadcaster’s shifted focus to sports, unscripted fare and foreign imports/co-productions, The CW will soon be getting into the original TV movie business. In an interview with Variety, network president Dennis Miller and president of entertainment Brad Schwartz revealed that The CW is planning to air its own slate of films (in addition to acquired features) on Sunday nights beginning later this year.

The network already has a Sunday night movie block, which will continue in the fall according to the network’s newly-released fall 2024 schedule. But in addition to airing well-known studio movies, they will be producing movies of their own — as many as ten. The network is prepping a deal with an unnamed TV movie...

All American and Walker are two of The CW’s biggest shows.

So, it was somewhat of a surprise that neither show has been handed a renewal and a spot on the network’s fall schedule, which was unveiled this morning.

The CW bosses Dennis Miller and Brad Schwartz explained why this is the case but said that there are ongoing conversations with the studios behind these shows with Schwartz promising that a decision on All American will happen “soon”.

Both shows are expensive and as Deadline has explained before, financials for all three homegrown dramas are challenging, particularly for Walker, which won’t be able to continue unless its very low license fee is raised by the network.

With The CW releasing its primetime schedule for next season on Thursday, what really caught our eye is what shows are not on it.

Veteran scripted series Walker, All American and All American: Homecoming are nowhere to be found on The CW’s fall lineup and aren’t confirmed as coming back at midseason, either, leading us to wonder if they’ll be coming back at all. (All three series have yet to be officially renewed.)

The first look at Season 2 of “The Last of Us” was unveiled on Wednesday featuring stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. HBO and Max chief Casey Bloys debuted the images during the Warner Bros. Discovery Upfront presentation in New York City.

The show chronicles the story of Joel (Pascal) and Ellie (Ramsey) as they navigate a world overrun with zombies infected with a parasitic fungus — not to mention the ruthless vigilantes, mercenaries and cannibals just as desperate to survive. Just as the first season of “The Last of Us” was adapted from the acclaimed 2013 video game of the same title, Season 2 of the series is expected to follow the events of its 2020 sequel, “The Last of Us Part II,” which deals with the fallout from Joel’s actions in the season 1 finale.
