Originally commissioned as part of a tour documentary showcasing Adam's return to live performing after a recent mental breakdown, and to showcase a unique performance of 'Dirk Wears White Sox' at London's Hammersmith Apollo.
A complete unseen documentary (as at March 2020) accompanies this film which is a 'fly on the wall' journal of life on the road with Adam, from the conception, through to the finale at London's Hammersmith Apollo. The documentary lasts over an hour and offers a complete in- depth analysis of Adam, the creativity, the inspiration, to which also features live appearances at record store day, in the spring of 2014.
The film's release (as a DVD extra) also incorporates an appearance by the band at London's 100 Club.
Several of the songs in the 2nd set (Apollo show) were omitted for the films final release. Such well known numbers/hits played on the night were left on the cutting room floor, deemed 'not so well played'
On the very same day as the Apollo show, Adam Ant made two other live appearances to celebrate record store day. The first appearance was early afternoon in London's Portabello Road, followed by later in the afternoon at Londons Soho market. From there a small film crew followed Adam home to piece together more footage for the accompanying documentary which then lead up to the evening show to perform 'Dirk Wears White Sox' in its entirety.
