This film essentially begins with a prostitute by the name of "Delilah" (Osas Ighodaro) convincing her female colleagues to band together and break the hold that their pimps have on them. Needless to say, this doesn't sit well with the pimps who rely upon them for their financial success. Neither does it please a couple of corrupt police officials who have made it a habit of shaking these women down for money and other services whenever they feel like it. Yet even though both of these groups want her silenced, it's her own colleague named "Cleopatra" (Olivia Marie Lopez) who actually takes matters into her own hands and kills her when she is alone and most vulnerable. Having done that, she then pins the murder on a couple of pimps which, thanks to an uneasy alliance with the police, temporarily nullifies their influence over these women. To that effect, she then makes a number of promises to the women to secure her position as leader--and then breaks these promises upon obtaining total power, leaving them in an even worse condition than before. Now, rather than reveal any more, I will just say that this could have been a good movie if it had been directed and resourced properly. Unfortunately, this was not the case, and the film suffered as a result. In particular, the entire film had music playing in the background throughout the course of the movie which rendered large portions of the dialogue almost incomprehensible. Not that it really mattered, as the script wasn't anything to write home about either. And as far as the acting was concerned, there were a couple of actresses like Nefra Dabney (as "Coco") and Jovan Roman ("Emmanuelle") who showed potential--but again, that's difficult to fully ascertain since most of their lines were drown out by the background music. In short, this was simply not a good movie, and I have rated it accordingly.
These hookers learn the hard way that "power corrupts", is a truism that cannot be ignored. My boyfriend made me watch this and I have to say that I had my reservations going in. But this movie seriously kicks ass! After the first 10 minutes it's all pretty much down hill for these hoes, they get their asses handed to them from the lead hooker (Olivia Lopez) and the lead cop (Sean Weathers), these two actually go at each other pretty hard as well. However without giving too much away the hookers do get to give the pimps their comeuppance. In the end this is a scare movie for any girl who thinks it might be a fun lifestyle to be an escort, cause it's not at last not in this movie. Trust me when I say I really wanted to hate this movie, but I just couldn't stop laughing from beginning to end. It's just so over the top it makes you love it.
