- TriviaUnlike previous shows, such as Mater's Tall Tales (2008) and Tales from Radiator Springs (2013) (excluding Bugged (2013) and The Radiator Springs 500½ (2014)), this series marks the first time Owen Wilson voiced Lightning McQueen outside of the movies since basically the theme park Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy (2019).
- GoofsAt the end of the 3rd Cars movie, Lightning McQueen was wearing Doc's old paint job. But in this TV series, he was wearing his original paint job at the beginning of the series premiere, Dino Park.

The show itself is fine, it's a neat bunch of short episodes with different kinds of fun themes and messages.
However, what bothers me is the lack of creativity in this show as a whole. So little of the world of, well, sentient living cars is utilized. The characters are living cars, and the only episode which utilizes that in a way some other show featuring living objects is the Salt Fever. Pretty much with every other storyline they have come up with, the characters could be replaced with anything other than cars, and it would function in the exact same way.
The themes in the episodes are also pretty played out, when talking about kids programs, haunted house, clowns, some horrible monster that turns out to be good?
What I was, and still am looking for from this show is the level of fun and interesting themes as seen with the Cars Toons. All the crazy stories, wacky characters and funny plots. This show compared to that is just real life. It's mondaine, it's boring, you can always guess what comes next, all in all it's the regular life, and what kid want's to watch regular boring life next to a ton of wacky stories revolving around Monster car wrestle, Mater becoming a drift king or a Astronaut, or any of the other great ideas they poured into that show.
TLDR: It's a mediocre kids show, nothing new, great animation and a few good episodes and moment's here and there, but nothing to be remembered when comparing to the excellent Cars Toons.
