In an explosion near a TV center dies journalist, a girlfriend of the police Special Department's investigator who was murdered because of one of her stories. A new employee of the department, Vlad Romanenko, takes up the case. Although he irritates his colleagues with his confidence, he is indeed a top policeman capable of spotting necessary details and finding the right way of the investigation. However, there is a dark secret from Vlad's past which may hinder him in his further work.

It turns out working at the city theater can be dangerous. At first glimpse, the deaths of a couple of its employees, a couple of accidents and a suicide, seem to have no connection - Nevertheless, when the Special Department start investigating them, to the surface comes an unattractive inner side of the relations among the theater staff.

Trying to help his sister, Vlad doesn't even suspect what passions rage around and inside Liudmyla.

But Vlad manages to prove the young man's alibi, and now the former suspect starts his own investigation trying to find his darling's murderer before the police do it. Can revenge act as justice?
