Final appearance of Jalal Agha who passed away on 05th March1995 thirteen years before the films release.He had shot for his portions in early 70s when the film was launched.
The shooting began in 1971, and was initially directed by Mukul Dutt who left the project in 1976 after having numerous problems completing the film.
Director Ashok Gupta took over the project in 1993 and completed it within a year's time, but had issues releasing the film. However the music album was released.
In 2008 Ashok Mishra bought the rights of the film, and jointly planned on releasing the movie with Director Ashok Gupta with a small release of 20 prints across Maharashtra.
Amitabh Bachchan signed on for this film in his struggling days in the 70's, when he was a newcomer to the industry and looking for work.
