A beautiful film. Seductive cinematography, nice performances, the spirit of Italian biographic film - hommage to lead character, few personal life aspects, sparkles and delicate story. But, in same measure, superficiality. The desire to make a charming film is obvious but it is not exactly always convincing. Eulogy to the memory of Puccini, it use the pink in few fundamental moments to easy , giving more a sketch than a portrait. Sure, it is , in many scenes, a kind of jazz improvisation because the flashbacks are not real well used and the connections between characters are so far to be strong. A beautiful sketch. Seductive. Maybe not convincing.
