Will Taylor Swift Ever Release Reputation (TV)? Album Takeback Sparks Frenzy
Image
For a long time now, Taylor Swift has been regaining control of the rights to her older music. It all began in June 2019, when her music manager, Scooter Braun, bought Big Machine, and her songs went along with it. Since then, Taylor Swift has successfully re-recorded and released Fearless, Speak Now, Red, and 1989. If you know Swifties, it is impossible to satiate us as we cannot have enough of Mother!

Which is why, ever since she began releasing her re-recorded albums, we have been waiting and praying for Reputation Taylor’s Version. Possibly her most beloved album of all time, Reputation tells the story of revenge and rebirth, cloaked in a dark, glittering aesthetic. However, in a surprising twist of events, Rep TV might not be happening at all.

Taylor Swift reveals the truth about Reputation TV Taylor Swift in Reputation’s ‘…Ready for It?’ music video | Credits: Taylor Swift...

Allow Grace VanderWaal to Reintroduce Herself
Image
Grace VanderWaal won over the country’s hearts as a ukulele-wielding 12-year-old on America’s Got Talent. Now, a 20-year-old singer and actress, VanderWaal is preparing for a new album, having released two singles in the last two months, and acting in the upcoming Francis Ford Coppola film Megalopolis.

Just a day before the film is set to hit theaters, VanderWaal spoke with The Hollywood Reporter over Zoom about her experience working on the film, how she has musically evolved and what she’s passionate about these days.

Having made her acting debut in Disney’s Stargirl, the 20-year-old isn’t ruling out more projects in the future but seems to be focusing on her next album. VanderWaal, who spent most of her formative years in the public eye, says her next album is “heavy” but an accurate look at what she’s going through at the moment.

“There isn’t...

Taylor Swift’s ‘Speak Now’ Vault Tracks Show Clear Path to Rest of Her Career
Image
Taylor Swift learned quickly that being on top meant a rougher landing at the bottom. The year after she released sophomore album Fearless should have been joyful: The album helped begin her transition from country wunderkind to veritable pop star thanks to the five Top 10 hits it birthed. She would find herself as often the youngest or only country star amongst mainstream pop, rap, and rock heavyweights — incuding at the MTV VMAs where “You Belong With Me” took home Best Female Video. She would even take home her first Album...

See Taylor Swift Bring Out Aaron Dessner and Gracie Abrams at Cincinnati Show
Image
Taylor Swift welcomed a pair of guests, Aaron Dessner and Gracie Abrams, onstage during a rare three-track “Surprise Songs” segment at her Eras Tour gig Saturday in Cincinnati.

Given the show was in the Ohio city that produced the National, it was fitting that Swift first brought out Dessner, a Cincy native, for the debut live performance of Evermore’s “Ivy.”

Abrams, who has served as a special guest on most Eras Tour dates since joining the trek in April, next appeared to perform her own “I Miss You, I...

Tampa Superintendent: A Taylor Swift Concert Is Not an Excused Absence
Image
Taylor Swift played three nights in Tampa, Florida last week, but despite the obvious draw, one superintendent told students not to expect any excused absences if they missed school to attend a show. In a letter he read aloud in a video, Hillsborough Schools Superintendent Addison Davis stressed the importance of school attendance — with a little help from Swift’s song titles.

“Students, You Need to Calm Down,” Davis said, referencing Swift’s 2019 Lover track. “Under no circumstances will Friday be an excused absence because you were having an Enchanted evening under the Starlight at Raymond James Stadium. I understand I am the Anti-Hero here, and Call It What You Want, but You’re On Your Own Kid if you think being a Swiftie is a good excuse for missing important instruction.”

“You know All Too Well you Should’ve Said No to attending a Thursday night concert,” Davis said.
