Having become a fan of Parks and Rec since July 2019, almost a year before this, I really was excited to hear about this. The humor is great like always and I really wish an 8th season happens. I like how they tie in all of the major and minor characters in this special and I also do admire that they chose to make this to raise a fundraiser.

Immediately had the parks and rec vibe. I was cracking up throughout. And I have to give them major props for getting creative to put this together. Well done by the entire cast. (2 viewings, 5/13/2020, 1/3/2023)
The cast reunites as their characters in a half-hour special for FeedingAmerica charity. It's great to see the cast 'together' and it's even better that they are playing their characters. The look is more like a slick Zoom session. There is surprisingly good back and forth despite most of them being by themselves. It's a fun reunion.

...but they definitely made me feel like I'd been reunited with a lost family member.

Things have been really stressful for me during these tough times, mostly because I am still working and have to deal with some customers who are ignoring social distancing rules. Like many people, 2020 is not going the way I had hoped it would so far. Home and work are the only places I can go...until today, when I travelled virtually to Pawnee, Indiana. There, I got to see once again some of my favorite characters from one of my favorite shows ever. This half-hour reunion special is funny, clever, and informative. Thank you to NBC and the wonderful cast and crew of Parks and Recreation for doing this. You all are 5000 candles in the wind!

It was so good to see the Parks gang again, my wife and I are such huge fans of this show. These especially stressful times we are all experiencing made this so needed and satisfying. Thanks guys for bringing the warmth.
This charity special was made in response to COVID-19. This was a generally entertaining special.
All the original main cast as well as most of the popular recurring characters are back and no one has dropped a beat when it comes to performances.
Overall, this special is fairly funny. There are a couple of great bits, particularly near the end, but the jokes as a whole are mostly just decent. One reason being that the script had to work with all the actors performing from their own homes. Another reason is that the story is a little heavy on reliving nostalgia from the original series
Overall, I recommend this if you're a big fan of the original Parks and Recreation, but this shouldn't be your start-off point.

Considering this over a Zoom call it's utterly fantastic. The writers, actors etc have done insanely well, very funny and enjoyable and all the best characters have come back for it. We want season 8

It was nice to see the parks gang back together again. Some nice call backs to the show. Not something I'd rewatch everytime I rewatch the show but it was nice.
Great seeing the cast but besides the fact that it's awesome they raised almost 3 million the show wasn't that funny.
This was a funny, light, positive way to remind us of a few things and perhaps raise some money. As someone who remembers the words to the Lil Sebastian tribute song from the series, I felt taken back to a time without the daily stresses we feel today. Even if it was just for a short time, I appreciate the effort.

With everything that's going on right now, this is awesome. The callbacks and everything on point, it made me miss it even more!

It's a good feeling to see all of those faces once again after so long since I've watched the show. It may have been a tough episode, given the social distancing necessary these days, but it was so well done.
Everyone was there, the usual selfs and funny storylines, all related to the current situation and the COVID-19 outbreak. It was very funny, and had an emotional ending with a good message.
Stay safe everyone, look after yourselves, and enjoy this episode :)

I was really worried this would be lame but it was one of the best of the series!!! We had just finished re-watching the whole series and saved this for last. The impact was incredible. Kudos to the entire cast. We just loved this and felt the love in return. Thank you for one of the greatest shows ever!

It's hard to believe the show has been off the air for five years. My husband and I have started watching it again on Netflix and have re-fallen in love! I spent the 30 minutes of the show smiling, laughing and crying. I think if Will & Grace And Roseanne can do a reboot, so can Parks & Rec!

First of all hats off to these people who gathered for such a noble cause and tried their best to bring smiles on the faces of their fans in such hard time.
Talking about this special episode , you will be watching this if you are a diehard fan and when you are a diehard fan the content doesn't matter, seeing this amazing cast of 10 people together on a screen just can bring smile on your face.
But this was an amazing episode where they delivered a social message which was obviously the need of the hour and to my surprise they also maintained the flow of the show and started from where they left in finale! and that activity in the end "literally" made me have goosebumps.
Good bless this beautiful cast of this beautiful show and amazing crew.!
Parks And Recreation is a show a lot of people were sad to see going. So I was kinda excited when I saw they were making a special, but to be honest after watching it, I couldn't help having a feeling of disappointment. In these pandemic times, where we get brainwashed day in day out by the media, where suddenly there seems to be nothing else happening in the world besides Covid, watching one of my favorite shows pick up on that vibe and brainwash us a little bit more, even though it's in a funny way, I just can't be pleased about that. From all the Parks And Rec episodes this one is by far the least funny and appealing one.

The show was a great piece of clever mainstream entertainement, at least its first five seasons. The last one felt forced but had some genuine funny moments.
IMHO, reviewing art isn't like reviewing the technical quality of a skype conferance call. If I gave a 10 to Citizen Kane, I can only give a 6-7 to this show I yet loverd very much but can't claim eleveted the art of filming or narration. Yes it was really fun, way above the vast majority of tv comedy, yet, this special, hoever well intended, however limited in its technical possibilities, well, it didn't do anything creative or new out of its limitations. Worse than anything else, it wasn't especially funny, if at all. I get the nostalgia factor is a big factor here, but 10 star reviews, seriously? Let's see how you feel about that rating in a year or two, even six months!
Honestly, it simply was quite bad. Good that it raised money, but that shouldn't have any impact on critical appreciation.
