Lucky Luke (2009)

Crazy credits

Lucky Luke

Edit

There is a scene in the closing credits: Lucky Luke smokes a cigarette, but upon being noticed he gets rid of it. In a parody of an anti-smoking commercial, Luke says he quit smoking in 1983 and feels better for it.

The forty-sixth acting credit is 'Painter Emeritus - Henry Fonda". "Emeritus" refers to a famous person in retirement - the joke is that Fonda died in 1982, so he is a retired Western film actor.

Scattered throughout the credits are written comments (nearly all in French). Some of these refer to specific cast/ crew members, some to the filmmaking process, and others to the film (plot, characters, etc.).

Below is the list in order.

Bruno Salomone (Jolly Jumper) - "Bruno Salomone has been speaking 'horse' since the age of five."

"Yes, Lucky Luke has killed a man: Mad Jim at the end of Dirk Digger's Mine."

"To date, more than 200 million human beings still live in barrels."

"Lucky Luke received the AWRET 2009 "The American West Bearded Experience Tribute". "

"The chief operator, the first assistant and the director did not shave during the entire shoot."

"To shoot faster than its shadow: You leave the Far West to go to Key West without touching Florida. And you shoot, and you shoot, and you shoot."

"If you read this sentence, it's worth staying until the end of the song."

"The donkey is still stuck at the top of her cart."

Ria Charvaz (assistant property master) - "Riiiiiiiiia run Riiiiiiia"

"The plan where Pat Poker sends his card to cut Luke's grass is not rigged: Swears on the head of _ on the head of _ on the head of Belle."

Agustin Barrutia (gaffer) - "Augustin Barrutia won the BMBM 'Best and Most Beautiful Male Technician Award'."

"We lost 6 hours of filming on the roof of the Diligence, a museum piece from 1870. The guy who cleaned it the next day fell through it.

Bravo and thanks to the best in the world. (This was in Spanish, in contrast with the French credit gags)

Guillaume Castillon (stunt double) - "Bravo, Guillaume, for falling off a galloping horse 15 times for a scene that was not even filmed."

Sonia Mariaulle (editor) - "Sonia, thanks to you we saw the light of the setting sun."

Sound Department - "Guys, you're geniuses."

Cyril Holtz (re-recording mixer) - "Celebrated inventor of Holtzmetre"

Bruno Coulais (composer) - "The man who composes faster than his shadow."

Térez Montcalm (singer) - "Pompon, Terez Montcalm's dog, is as big as Jolly Jumper." and "Terez, we love you"

Dider Buthiau (lyricist) - "Brave Dr Buthiau you made it"

"Don't look for Rantanplan, he isn't in the film." Rantanplan was a prison guard dog who served as a companion to Luke in a few stories.

The ninth acting credit is "Not in the Film - John Wayne".

The twenty-fourth acting credit is "Désse de la Nature (translation: Nature Goddess) - La Pachamama".

Michel Charvaz is credited for Olympic Gold Medals.
