The film was shot entirely on location in 3 days aboard an actual houseboat.
Due to the remote location and desire of the director, the entire cast and crew slept on the cramped houseboat while filming. However, this amounted to little to no sleep as shooting days wrapped at 6am and 4am respectively with shooting to continue at daybreak.
The production had no operable electricity while shooting and thus required the long night scenes to be lit entirely with small propane lanterns.
The only book referenced specifically in the film is "The Plague" by Albert Camus, whom is a favorite author of director Timothy L. Anderson.
The production was literally out of drinkable water and almost out of food when filming wrapped.
