Shiki's room in the hospital is 446, although in Japan, where the film was made, hospitals don't have fourth floors because the Japanese words for "death" and "four" are pronounced the same.
Of all the Kara no Kyokai serial novels, this was the movie that has more internal time. The story begins in March 1996 following the incidents in The Garden of Sinners: A Study in Murder - Part 1 (2007) and ends in June 1998, when Shiki can finally meet Mikiya. although in The Garden of Sinners: A Study in Murder - Part 1 (2007) there is a jump to two years later after the timeline August 1995 - March 1996, this movie shows all the events of Mikiya during Shiki's coma.
