The plot is quite different from other faith based films, because events in the latter half are unusual. I liked the fact that he simply kept believing all along.
A well-to-do man in western Massachusetts (John Palladino) faces a serious health challenge and comes out of it with a better understanding of faith & healing, which helps other desperate people and draws unwanted attention.
"I'm Not Him" (2021) is a lowkey drama in the vein of "God's Not Dead 2," just mixed with a faith healing element minus the religious con angle of, say, "Elmer Gantry" and "Leap of Faith." The characters are believable and fleshed-out enough, featuring a diverse cast.
As with "God's Not Dead 2," the flick addresses very real possibilities in our litigious secular societies. I liked how the protagonist is humbled by his experience in the first act yet wisely never lets what transpires go to his head. Moreover, he refuses to fight flesh with flesh, which is unprofitable; he puts his trust in the Sovereign One.
It runs 1 hour, 28 minutes, and was shot in Berkshire County, Massachusetts, which is the westernmost county in the state.

If I had to put in one word, Its 'Wonderful'. A feel good faith in Jesus Christ movie every Christian should watch may be after Sunday mass/ church with the family for movie nights. Yes, miracles do happen even today. Unexplained healing when you pray!

Beautiful and poignant story told at a crucial time. No matter what your religion, or even if you aren't religious, this movie has a message that will hit home with you. What does it mean to believe? What can we control? What is important in life? How do we navigate these murky times ahead of us? Stop. Think. And watch I'm Not Him.

The acting was very good, especially Annie Heise and Audrey Bennett. The story was well written and direct. It had a strong Catholic lean to it, but wasn't promoting Catholicism just having a relationship with God. And was brought out: well w having a relationship with God and praying to Him in such a way that you are "talking" to God. As advice from the main actor to others was it's not just spending time repeating prayers, but being personal in your prayers.
It wasn't a predictable movie even though there were a couple times when you knew what was coming next. But it kept you watching to see all that was going to happen. It is one I have recommended to some friends and one I would watch again.
Like others, I rated it an10 and it was well worth it.

With so much strife, racial tension, pandemic difficulties, financial challenges because of all these other issues-here comes a story that has at the heart to look into our lives and reflect on what matters the most. Putting financial gain aside and find satisfaction in helping others. It is a simple message full of compassion, dedication, conviction, and purpose, with faith and believing in more than one's own abilities to make the world turn around each day.
