Ok so this popped up on my prime free to watch movies and so I thought I would give it a whirl. I should have known better This is a Canadian offering and I was not impressed! Within the first 5 minutes there was a fight it was painful to watch as all the fight actions were so bad it was like they had filmed the run through scripted actions and rather than iron them out so they looked realistic they kept them and made them part of the movie ! The actors are extremely wooden in their delivery resembling an amateur dramatic societies first attempt . Add on to this the awful attempt of special effects and all that is left is the story sadly that turned out to be as bismal as everything else! Good v evil wherby good is a half human half angel against a female lucifer to stop the apocalypse I forced myself to watch its entirety so I could give an honest review soemething I deeply regret now.
I wish just one time an Alberta film-maker would make something good! Been keeping tabs on this film for several years to watch it at some point and damn I'm glad I did!
First off, this is the best looking film I've seen come from the indie scene here in Alberta. That's where the positives ends though!
Unfortunate to see the fight choreography was done by the same people who worked on the last of us, I kind of expected something more. At least it wasn't horrible!
I can watch this film and at the very least gather something from it with a moral dilemma although the devil and angel thing has been played out ten-fold so find some other story to tell.
Braydon, you did as good of a job as you could making this film look and sound great. I commend you on that! But please never hire these actors again. You may be able to make a really good movie in the future with the right actors.
As for the regular man or woman watching this film expecting to be entertained, you're just going to be bored from beginning to end. Nothing really exciting happens so I'd probably skip this unless you want to deep dive into Alberta film-makers and their work.
