I can't consider why Netflix always forgot to put a good story in there movies, 10 years old can right a story better than this, the story is so cheap, dumb and childish. I just watch it because the poster attracts me, And really regret that. Respects your time and keep away.

As a few people have said here, it is technically beautiful, but there is no coherent plot/storyline. And even if the English language title was correctly translated (Black Fire) it still wouldn't be any indication of what is going on. The fight scenes are not done properly, there are only a few of them, so that didn't affect the movie. While the one woman was nice eye candy, and probably the man as well, the sex scenes were unnecessary and added (nor subtracted) from the apparently non-existent plot.

I don't want any spoilers here, so I won't try to explain what is going on. The acting isn't that good, although some of the eye contact is actually better than the acting.

And because this movie makes no sense it seems to be a part of some series, if not then this movie needs a prequel to explain what is going on.

The things I did like about this movie were the 'hero' rode a motorcycle, so glad it wasn't some muscle car from the 60s. And best was the way it was shot and lit, the sound wasn't bad either.

This might be interesting to film students, but if you are looking for entertainment, even at the B movie level, you really won't find it here.

It's generally a bad movie with a clever enough organization that I kept interested. The director evokes a lot questions among the audience. The plot development is kind of fresh and marginally unique. The acting is very dramatic, which adds a wee bit of mystery with a cup full of bile. But being a foreign language film for me, it's a plus. The special effects are cheap )literally and figuratively). Maybe I got a Netflix edited version, because some of the film's description was never substantiated in the version I saw. For instance, the lead character was supposed to have just been released from prison. And that makes sense per the version I watched, but in my version that fact was not disclosed. The biggest drawback is the how nearly every scene presupposes more knowledge among the audience. Virtually none of the questions that the viewer has regarding, why or what's happening are ever answered. The end was predictable and answered none of the questions. See it and maybe pass 90 minutes ok, or don't see it and know you haven't missed anything.

DON'T WATCH THIS! JUST DON'T! Everything is just terrible. Nothing is good in this film. It's even scarier for the fact how it was released than the film itself.

This is a stylish, atmospheric, 'arty" film. I found it watchable. I can see why many gave it a low rating as much of what happens is unexplained and the fight scenes are diabolical (so bad that I found them funny), but the characters are interesting the scenes are beautifully shot and I wanted to see how it ended. Don't be put off by the low ratings.

I only finished watching this movie so it wouldn't haunt my Continue Watching list for eternity.

This movie reminded me of Big Trouble in Little China..where the girl wants to be with the violent, cool and mysterious dude but he is TOO cool to have a clutchy female hanging on his side. Every time I thought it might go somewhere interesting, it disappointed immensely!! PLEASE Netflix! Don't send me these "so-called" Coming Attractions! If they are anything like this movie, don't bother me!

The plot is stupid, nonsense and bad. If there was a worst movie of 2020 award I'd nominate this one, serious candidate.

This movie is visually stunning and artfully shot. That being said, the plot is rushed, weak, and many things are left unexplained. People in this movie fight like you punch in your dreams. There are phallic objects entering people's throats. There are unexplained creepy hotel staff and unnecessarily mixed costumes from the Victorian era, the 40's, and awful 90's club wear. If you watch the film without any sound or captions, it's actually a lot less confusing.

This film isn't the best or most original one in the world but it's much better than 1 star. It's clearly trying to emulate neo-noirs like Blade Runner and Sin City and Argento horror with varying success. Moody and atmospheric with some Lynchian aspects, visually it's quite arresting and the city shots look great. It's successful in a B movie way. I certainly wasn't bored with it and was amused by the black worm creature.

There are so many movies, it is tough to rate them all anyway (impossible actually at least as one person and with just one life). It also is always is important to know what movies you've seen and how you compare them to each other. Yes this isn't the best movie ever, this is not even close to the best horror movies ever. And yet it is far away from the low rating it got. Technically speaking alone this is very well made.

Now you may not care about that at all and feel the movie is boring. Which is fair enough to say the least. Maybe you don't condone the violence and the nudity (though to be fair there is always something erotic yet lethal and deadly with vampires). If all that does not bother you and you are willing to take chance with a more artistic approach the movie is taking, you might be able to enjoy where this is going. A decent effort overall, in all departments

Good looking girls, in rest absolute nonsense, what it was about??? Who knows. Don't waste your time, garbage netflix.

Seemed and nteresting and dark at first , turns out utterly senseless

I wasn't going to write a review because the ratings speaks for itself - unusual to see a Netflix movie with this low a rating - I am not adverse to low rated movies but usually have to go to Amazon Prime to get them , but this one was bad even by Amazon Prime standards. Not sure what Netflix was thinking but assume it was added to a bundle purchase - to summarize , cheesy action sequences, terrible acting , no plot or character development , sex scenes were OK but the ending was laughable straight out of an Alien rip off. If you watch it suggest you use the fast forward button a lot.

Although beautifully shot, this movie is basically Tenoch Huerta fanservice. I'm not complaining because that man is fine but it's not enough material to build a movie on.

Definitely will not watch, switched off after twenty minutes I find such movies boring . I honestly like the way it was shot, two star only for the beautiful lighting, music, they have done something different in this department. The light work, location, camera work can be appreciated.

So this one a Netflix produced movie, and I'm always suspicious of these movies that roll opening credits, long long credits, with no dialogue, because a lot of times they are foreign language movies that Netflix doesn't identify as such. And is this one???

This movie is definitely not for everyone. But it is incredibly beautiful The light, colors and sound is high quality. It's freaky, mystical and incoherent. Another kind of movie. The atmosphere and tranquility the film has is wonderful. As a film critic, it's a pleasure. Not all movies have to be for all.

The scenes are beautiful, the lighting and chosen colors are wonderfully moody. And, amid the cryptic conversation and nearly indecipherable plot, I found the fight scene so funny I had to laugh out loud! Very artsy, interesting and a challenge for those who like to know what's going on and why; a delight for those who like beauty and mystery.

Inspired by David Lynch style. If you like poetry more than narrative stories, all recommendations.

This was a good, Mexican noir type movie. The ambience was similar to Sin City and the characters were each stuck in their own hellish conditions. The fight scenes were done well, and the protagonist played his role well.

Couldn't stop watching it. Don't know why. Cinematics are good. "Story" is weird, is this part X of something? None of it makes sense but I think that was on purpose. It's more of an experience than a story. So since I can't classify it, it is what it is. Gave it an 8 for cinematics and originality.

Smoking some marihuana is advised. I didn't but I think it might really clarify a lot =)

It's a good movie hater's are hater's but a good movie for a Mexico horror movie

It was amazing... It inspired strong and masculine vibes.... Simply one of THE BEST MOVIES EVER ! Awesome acting and graphics with a unique storyline. Made my day.
