Cloud Nothings have announced a new studio album, Final Summer, and shared its latest single, “Running Through the Campus.”
Due on April 19th, Final Summer is Cloud Nothings’ first release on Pure Noise Records, and marks their ninth or 10th album “depending on how you look at it,” according to the band’s Dylan Baldi. Speaking to the record’s themes, Baldi said: “It’s about feeling alright in the moment. A lot of these songs sorta ended up being about getting by or trying to keep improving despite everything.”
To that end, he cites Cloud Nothings’ constant drive to make new music as a leading factor in Final Summer’s sound. “I just like making things,” Baldi said. “I love having something that I’ve made by the end of the day, even if it’s just one song. It’s like proof that my day happened. I’m...

Cloud Nothings are back with a new song, “Final Summer,” in celebration of their signing to Pure Noise Records. Stream it below.
“Final Summer” opens with a brief splash of synths before giving way to a hooky guitar riff, while the track’s lyrics feature themes of identity and self-growth. “I have some thoughts, I have some dreams,” guitarist/vocalist Dylan Baldi sings on the chorus. “But I need to be happy with what I’ve got for me.”
In a statement, Baldi explained that the song is about “reconciling past versions of myself with the self I see when I look in the mirror every morning, always trying to learn more and using that knowledge to take the leaps of faith that are necessary to try new things and continue living and growing. Cloud Nothings has been around for 14 years now, and we wouldn’t have been able to...

Bloodthirst is from the folks at Mahal Empire, last year they gave us their version of the zombie apocalypse, Bridge of the Doomed. This year they’re revisiting the apocalypse, only in Bloodthirst the threat comes from a different strain of the undead, vampires. Interestingly, both films were directed by Michael Su and written by Adrian Milnes this time with a story credit to Massimiliano Cerchi
In the world of Bloodthirst two factions of vampires fight for control of what’s left of the planet. What’s left of humanity is caught in the middle and rapidly heading for extinction, something that would doom the vampires as well. John Shepard walks that world as a vampire hunter who’s on the trail of The Master Vampire.

Writer/Director John Isberg opens Final Summer in traditional fashion, as summer camp attendees are told about a murderous legend over a campfire. As a counsellor reappropriates the story of Warren Copper for an instructional tale about forest fires, the joking dies down when a real murderer strikes.
Five years later, a tragedy has occurred at Camp Silverlake. Traumatised by the events, Lexi (Jenna Kohn) is left blaming herself for what happened. This incident has left the camp’s owner with no choice but to sell her family’s legacy, asking the counsellors to get the place ready for the oncoming developers. Those plans are discarded when a masked killer appears, intent on committing a killing spree.

Pack your bags for Final Summer – an ’80s-inspired summer camp slasher that sees a group of camp counsellors fighting for their lives against a masked killer. This blood-squirting, brutally brilliant horror is the impressive directorial debut from John Isberg– who also writes and co-produces the film – and is out now on UK Digital, courtesy of Miracle Media Limited.
We head back to 1991, after a long summer of fun and games at Camp Silverlake, where organisers are preparing to shut down the camp for the final season before it is sold to developers.
But there’s something – or someone – waiting in the darkness to exact bloody revenge on the unsuspecting campers.
Who is the masked menace and what do they want?...

"Locals claimed to see this strange figure with a skull over it, carrying an axe, guarding the woods in the middle of the night..." Miracle Media Limited in the UK has revealed the first official trailer for the indie horror film titled Final Summer, a 1980s throwback summer camp slasher from filmmaker John Isberg. The film initially premiered at the 2023 Panic Fest back in the spring, though it's still waiting for a final US release date. In the aftermath of a tragedy at a summer camp, a group of camp counselors find themselves fighting for their lives against a masked killer. This is inspired by all the great 80s slasher movies, but it's actually set in the early 90s, which is I guess the spin on the story. The horror film stars Thom Mathews, Bishop Stevens, Carl Bailey, Seth Boyer, Nora Yates, Jace Jamison, and Jessica Kadish. A simple trailer...
