The historic building "Harkey" had been baron in downtown Shreveport for years. Occupied by only roaches, rats and ghosts from years past, the building is renovated by a low rate young developers Lafitte and Lafitte who inherit the property.
Single mother Drew Foster accepts the job to manage the building as she and her daughter Alex set up residence within.
An acting school is the first business to move in which arouses ghost residents Jarod, Mavis, Persefani, Fagan and Wilson who soon learn that the new resident child has the ability to see and communicate with them. Alex has a ghost twin, Sam, who introduces her to everyone. Mother Drew never told Alex she had twin Sam that died at birth.Alex knows this so she never told the mother she has known and has grown with Sam from day one. From the balcony above the ghosts watch the acting class every night as their highlight entertainment.
The fun shifts to a longing of love as Jarod falls for a human actress Ember who seems to be drawn to his energy. Jarod is hell bent to learn how to reach her...to communicate...to feel her. Persefani is a drop dead gorgeous darker energy spirit who has been around longer than most of the other ghosts. She holds secrets and power that the others do not yet possess or understand. Mavis Harkey is the heir to the building's legacy and a rascal who convinces himself he can win over Persefani. She usually finds a way to injure him for his effort. When Jarod realizes Persefani's power he seeks her assistance in learning how to be heard,seen and felt to win over Ember. Problems abound when forces that are not supposed to manifest are introduced inter-phasing the real world from the spirit realm.
