Megumi Hayashibara, the voice of Kitty, had also played a Gundam pilot of the One Year War. She played Christina Mackenzie, the test pilot of RX-78NT-1 Gundam in Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket (1989)
This ONA marks the second time Sunrise and Sanrio collaborated for the project, as they previously produced both Space Runaway Ideon (1980) movies in 1982; The Ideon: A Contact (1982) and The Ideon: Be Invoked (1982).
