Filming occurred during record-breaking heat, which you can actually see rising on camera. For this reason, filming had to be drastically altered to protect actors, crew and the camera.
After the first six months on the international film festival circuit, the film earned 62 awards, including 24 wins.
As of November, 2020, the film is making its way through the film festival circuit. It has won a Best Cinematography award in Denmark, was a Finalist for Best Experimental Short (Denmark), First-Time Filmmaker (England), Best Narrative Short (England), Best Score (Denmark), and won an honorary award (Turkey). It is also an official selection at upcoming festivals in Turkey, Mexico and the UK for Best Film, Best Narrative Short, Best Female Director, Best Fiction Short and Best Onscreen Duo.
