Like so many viewers in NY who are not familiar with any African custom or tradition period, I found this film to be very interesting, entertaining, well thought out and executed by a superb cast. The wardrobe, hairstyles, accessories and the hmmmm....I'm thinking tattoo's or should I say the tribal marks..so artistic...were all so pleasing to the eyes! The location was very scenic. The pace was very good unlike so many slow, boring movies. The conflict between the couple and the elders highlighted the gradual eroding of traditional practices and the harder task for the 'village to raise the child'. It was very refreshing not to hear the American or British accents that somehow has become a must in most films. That's one of the biggest turn offs of viewers in this part of the world...the wannabe's.The only reason I have not rated it a ten is because there is always room for improvement...somewhere...somehow! Excellent movie and I kid you not.
