Apple TV+ has announced an all-new 10-episode season of the epic motorcycle adventure series starring and executive produced by Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman, which reunites best friends for their next great motorbike tour, this time a little closer to home.
The new season follows Ewan and Charley as they ride vintage, lovingly refurbished motorbikes from Ewan’s home in Scotland to Charley’s in England, but rather than take the shortest route, they go the long way! They head across the North Sea to Scandinavia, all the way up to the Arctic Circle and then down to the Baltics, through continental Europe, before eventually hopping back over the English Channel two months later. It’s an adventure that will take them to more than fifteen countries, through spectacular scenery and along some of the greatest driving roads in the world. Along the way, they’ll immerse themselves in each country’s culture,...

Schitt’s Creek co-creator Eugene Levy has opened up about revealing his authentic, non-adventurous side in Apple TV+’s The Reluctant Traveler, which he said gave him “a sense of confidence.”
In The Reluctant Traveler, which debuts on Friday, Levy is taken out of his comfort zone as he travels the world visiting dangerous places and partaking in activities such as taking a stool sample from an elephant.
Reluctant Traveler EP David Brindley revealed that himself, Apple and Levy’s agent had initially wanted Levy to front a more traditional travelog but pivoted the idea somewhat to suit his reluctance to traverse the globe.
“You constantly strive for authenticity in TV so the show we originally pitched would never have worked,” said Brindley, who is Chief Creative Officer of ITV Studios-backed Reluctant Traveler producer Twofour. “We had to build this around Eugene’s authentic experience.”

“Fireball: Visitors from Darker Worlds,” the upcoming documentary from acclaimed film director Werner Herzog, is set to premiere on Apple TV+ on November 13. The streaming service revealed the trailer for the project on Friday morning.
Per Apple, “Fireball: Visitors from Darker Worlds” takes viewers on an extraordinary journey to discover how shooting stars, meteorites, and deep impacts have focused the human imagination on other realms and worlds, and on our past and our future. The upcoming documentary hails from Herzog and volcanologist Clive Oppenheimer, who previously appeared in Herzog’s “Encounters at the End of the World” and “Into the Inferno.”
Although IndieWire’s David Ehrlich had mixed feelings about “Fireball: Visitors from Darker Worlds” in his grade B- review of the documentary in September, he nonetheless praised Herzog’s work on the project.

Wherever Star Wars actor Ewan McGregor goes, a certain bearded Jedi follows. In 2019, when McGregor and his travel writer friend Charley Boorman arrived in a small South American town (McGregor thinks it was in Peru) amid a long motorcycle journey, so too did a legion of fans excited to meet Obi-Wan Kenobi.
“We were in a small town and there are these long winding steps all the way up to this famous lighthouse,” McGregor says. “We were going up and someone asked for an autograph. I was happy to do that. Then the same thing happened on another flight of stairs up. Then a bunch of people were arriving going, ‘Oh, we didn’t know where you’d be.’ Turns out (our location) was on a Star Wars social media platform or site. They were always very friendly though. It was never a chore.”
For now, Star Wars is in the rearview.

Bill Maher brimmed with satisfaction Friday having swapped his backyard for a studio, an audience and live guests for the first time in months in an inching-back-to-normal Real Time with Bill Maher.
“There’s real people. Thank you Jesus. Thank you. People!” he exclaimed, throwing up his arms wide to welcome a miracle. The show is filmed at CBS Television City’s Studio 33.
The HBO show is the first big talk show to bring back a crowd, just 25 people for now but almost loud enough. “This is interesting, you can hear people laugh individually. Oh, I see that lady like that joke, that guy didn’t,” the host said.
These pandemic weeks have seen Maher bounce from enraged to peevish at his shelter-at-home backdrop of grass and trees, at telling jokes in a vacuum about his dog and at trying to coax compelling interviews off a video screen.

‘Real Time With Bill Maher’: HBO Talk Show Brings Back Limited Audience & In-Person Roundtable Panel
Bill Maher has spent much of the last few months hearing canned laughter after his opening monologue on Real Time with Bill Maher.
This week, however, the comedian will hear the reaction of a live audience after the HBO show became the first major talk show to bring back a crowd.
This week’s episode of the show, which airs Friday at 10 pm, will tape with a limited 25-person studio audience and will also feature a roundtable discussion in the studio.
The show is thought to be the first talk show to bring back audiences following the Covid-19 production shutdown. A handful of gameshows are believed to be working on bringing in limited audiences, but it’s a sign of production slowly moving back towards how it was pre-Coronavirus.
This panel will include Peter Hamby, host of Snapchat’s political show Good Luck America and contributing writer for Vanity Fair,...

Star Wars fans are getting ready to say “Hello there” again to Obi-Wan Kenobi when his much-hyped solo TV series eventually hits Disney Plus. However, we shouldn’t be expecting it to be an ongoing show starring the legendary Jedi Master. That’s because Ewan McGregor has confirmed that, as far as he knows, there’s only one season planned.
The Scottish actor – who first starred as Obi-Wan 21 years ago in The Phantom Menace – spoke to Entertainment Tonight to promote his new Apple TV series, Long Way Up. Naturally, the topic of the Kenobi show was discussed and McGregor made clear his excitement to get cracking on it, but said he believes it’ll only be a one-off. Though it doesn’t sound like this is a 100%, cast-iron fact.

To celebrate the release of Long Way Up, the eagerly anticipated reuniting of Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman after almost 12 years, we sat down with the guys to chat about all things motorbikes.
Together again after their first two trips – Long Way Round and Long Way Down – McGregor and Boorman have mixed things up this time by deciding to do their newest trip on electric motorbikes which presented the duo with some amazing equipment but also proved to be a different challenge altogether, not least with trying to charge their new bikes in the middle of nowhere. But they told us that overall it was the right decision but did make for some heartstopping moments in the show, not least seeing McGregor having to be pulled along to make a once-a-day ferry.
