Following the recent statement issued by Manj Ral, that he was looking at a solo career, Surjeet Ral (better known as Surj Rdb), confirms that he intends as the sole surviving member of Rdb, to continue the name and musical legacy of Rdb, in honour of his eldest brother Kuldeep Ral (Kuly), who passed away in 2012. Commenting on the same Surj says, "I was sad to see my brother leave Rdb. Along with my late brother Kuly, he was one of the founders of the group. He will be missed, but I wish him all the best in his solo career." Following the recent news of Rdb’s exclusive world premiere of their new track Big at this year’s The Lebara Mobile Asian Music Awards, due to unforeseen circumstances, Rdb will not be releasing and premiering the track at the event. International Urban-Bhangra artist Nindy Kaur will lend her soulful voice to a special song in memory of Rdb’s Kuly Ral.

The moving song, titled ‘Tut Gaya Dil’, features the vocal talents of rising urban rap star Smooth, whose collaboration on Nindy’s track Aloo Chat saw him come to the attention of music moguls around the world. He was immediately signed to the Rdb label Three Records Ltd to work on new material, with his debut being a feature on Nindy’s tribute track to Kuly.

Millions of fans are continuing to pay their tributes to musician and producer Kuly from Rdb, who passed away on the 22nd of May 2012.

The talented song writer, composer and producer will be missed by millions of fans from around the world after he sadly lost his battle with cancer. Kuly and his two brothers, Surj and Manj, who together form trio Rdb, are responsible for some of Bollywood’s biggest hit movie tracks, including: Aaja Mahi, Singh is Kinng, Aloo Chaat and Shera di Kaum.

Fans from the UK, India, Pakistan, America and Canada have tweeted messages of condolence to Kuly’s family, and scores have left messages of support on the official Rdb Facebook page. Fans have been sharing fond memories of Kuly and Rdb, and reliving musical highlights. Many have cited how Rdb’s music has been a defining point in their lives, shaping their musical tastes and younger days.

The international music fraternity has faced a saddening loss with Kuly of music band Rdb, passing away on 22nd May 2012 in Houston, Texas, USA. The popular music group member sadly lost his battle with cancer at the young age of 35 years old.

Kuly was diagnosed with a brain tumour in April 2011 and underwent radio and chemotherapy. He was receiving treatment at a specialised clinic in Houston at the time of his death.

Kuly was an intrinsic part of Rdb, a leading international music group, famed for their contribution to globalising Bhangra and Indian music. His legacy will remain with Rdb and their super-hit tracks such as ‘Aaja Mahi’, ‘Singh is Kinng’, ‘Aloo Chaat’ and ‘Shera di Kaum’.

The Bhangra-urban group Rdb - whose work features in many Bollywood films - could soon be working with David Guetta.

They met the superstar DJ and dance producer when he visited India last weekend to perform three exclusive gigs.

Rdb specialise in blending Asian and Western music and introduced Snoop Dogg to the Indian film world when they composed the title track to 2008's Singh is Kinng. He?s almost 33 years old, but actor Aftab Shivdasani is still often referred to as the ?Farex baby?. The baby who became a child actor played his first lead role as a teenager in Ram Gopal Varma?s Mast followed by roles in Kasoor, Awara Paagal Deewana, Hungama, Masti, Daddy Cool and Aloo Chaat, among others. In 2009 he turned producer with Aao Wish Karein and then disappeared, only to reappear this month in an ensemble comedy called Bin Bulaye Baarati.

What is your latest film, Bin Bulaye Baarati, about?

I play Aditya, a lovable crook in love with Shreya (Nisha Kothari) who happens to be the daughter of a policeman (Om Puri). I am on the run from both the cops and some gangsters.

Real life lovers Aftab Shivdasani and Aamna Sharif played reel life lovers in the recently released romantic comedy Aloo Chaat. Aloo Chaat is just like the roadside Indian fast food it is named after - tangy, tasty and kind of naughty. Robby Grewal's film, set completely in Delhi, is a simplified tale of a pair of lovers' overcoming of religious divisions, but it is quite a fun journey for the viewer. The film, like many predecessors with well-meaning subjects that lost their way through multiple songs interjected unimaginatively at crucial moments of story telling, but to the credit of Grewal (whose debut film Samay - When Time Strikes was an interesting thriller), he sticks to the storyline with a firm grip, letting his screenplay do the talking.
