Internationally acclaimed music artists Rdb might just add another feather to their cap. If grapevine is to be believed then actor turned producer Aftab Shivdasani is very fond of the brothers and is keen on working with them again. Currently the actor is busy with his upcoming movie with Vikram Bhatt. Bhatt has signed Aftab for the sequel of his 2010 hit 1920 starring Adah Sharma and Rajneesh Duggal.
If speculations are to be believed, Aftab had conveyed his keenness to have the band on board to his director. The actor had a great experience while working with Rdb during Aloo Chaat which he produced. A source close to the actor reveals, “Aftab and the three brothers (members of Rdb) had a whale of a time during Aloo Chaat. They got along like a house on fire and their music impressed the actor immensely.”

Have a look at guest writer Tirusha Dave’s rockin’ interview with Rdb and Nindy Kaur!
Rdb & Nindy Kaur have taken over everything like there’s no tomorrow. It’s only a matter of time till little kids are taking lunch boxes to school that say "Aloo Chaat" with a picture of Rdb or they’re nominated for an MTV Music Award! Trust me, with Rdb & Nindy Kaur – anything, and I mean anything, is possible. And they’ve shown just that; if you believe in what you’re most passionate about, you can achieve the impossible.
From touring across the world to four hit songs this year and performing at the biggest wedding in Bollywood, they’ve done that plus more! Now to me, they’re Kuly, Manj, Surj & Nindy; but to the rest of the world they’re idols, role models, and celebrities.

Though perception amongst the trade has been that Aloo Chaat hasn't performed well and has gone down at the box office, director (and also co-producer of the film) Robby Grewal has a different take on it. As per the film maker, the movie has made money for everyone involved in the value chain, right from the producers to the distributors and the exhibitors and it's an unfair perception that the film has flopped....

For Aamna Shariff, it was a lot of fun to be a part of 'gidda' sequence in Aloo Chaat. Even though she is a Muslim girl, has lived most of her life in Mumbai and doesn't follow Punjabi, the film's narrative required her to act and dance while making herself comfortable in the Punjabi milieu. "I have never spoken Punjabi in my life, though for some reasons Robby thought that I would know the language", recollects Aamna, "I was never even informed about the Punjabi 'gidda' sequence in the film....

The two some created a huge scene at Jaipur, which also happens to be Aamna’s former boyfriend Rajeev Khandelwal’s native place while promoting ‘Aloo Chaat.’
A source says, “Aamna and Aftab who were there to promote their soon to be released flick Aloo Chaat reached two hours late. Members of the media were livid with them for their careless behaviour. Aloo Chaat is just like the roadside Indian fast food it is named after - tangy, tasty and kind of naughty. Robby Grewal's film, set completely in Delhi, is a simplified tale of a pair of lovers' overcoming of religious divisions, but it is quite a fun journey for the viewer. The film, like many predecessors with well-meaning subjects that lost their way through multiple songs interjected unimaginatively at crucial moments of story telling, but to the credit of Grewal (whose debut film Samay - When Time Strikes was an interesting thriller), he sticks to the storyline with a firm grip, letting his screenplay do the talking.

Mumbai, This one may make it to the 'Believe It Or Not' category. When the song 'Dhadke Jiya' was choreographed for the film 'Aloo Chaat', there was actually no song playing during the shoot and the lead actors - Aftab Shivdasani and Aamna Shariff - had to get cosy on Delhi streets and assume there was music being played. "Can you believe that?" exclaimed Aamna. "We shot the entire footage of 'Dhadke Jiya' in Delhi without even having that song? I can't help but smile when people say that the chemistry between Aftab and me was enhanced especially in this number when the fact is that we were completely clueless about how our scenes will finally turn out in the film," the actress said. Neither was the song ready by then nor was there any other dummy song ...

Mumbai, It's time for bhangra. Three films to be released in the next fortnight will have one common theme - a Punjabi background.
