This film exemplifies the art of the short film. Not an attempt to be a feature film story told in under 40 minutes; Worth is complex, profound, and has an impact. Not to mention a moving score. All of this transpires in under eight minutes.
I first saw Worth at the LA Shorts Fest last year, one of - from what I understand - over 60 festivals it's played. I've made a point to catch all of the Academy nominated live action shorts for years, and I'd be surprised if Worth didn't get shortlisted this year. It's a fantastic film, and the recognition would be a real game-changer for a filmmaker who deserves it.

Saw this film at a festival, didn't know what to expect. I loved it! What a fun story, you really feel you glimpsed life in the high-end auction world. The actors seem so real, everything looks amazing and true to life. The lead actor has a simple soulful quality, and surprising talents. Can't say more, but definitely has touching even awe-inspiring moments. Worth challenges your assumptions about what someone can do, and how we decide the value of objects and people. The images are lovely, and it moves really fast. But feels timeless. The ending will give you something to wonder about, too. Beautiful music and design.
