Blanket

I saw this as part of a block of kids animation at a film festival and I have never seen a group of children so quiet and enthralled. On the surface it's a simple story that captivated the children; but on a deeper layer there was much for the parents to enjoy and appreciate. The animation recalls old picture books or cartoons on a Saturday afternoon with your parents in a story that is many things, both simple and profound, achingly truthful and familiar but fantastical, it left this particular cinema goer with a very warm feeling on leaving the cinema!
