"When you're famous, everybody wants to screw ya." So sayeth Vic Edwards, the faded screen idol portrayed by Burt Reynolds in Adam Rifkin's The Last Movie Star. This former sex symbol has long since passed the "everybody wants to screw ya" stage, his body forever wracked by too many film stunts and eyebrows perpetually levitated from too many facelifts. He spends much of his time bemoaning the wreckage of his life and career, both of which went off the rails decades ago due to a series of poor decisions.

Dan Harmon made a dramatic exit from the hit comedy, Community, and now a legendary actor is departing the cast. Chevy Chase is leaving the show.
Chase’s character, Pierce Hawthorne has been at Greendale Community College for three-and-a-half years. According to Deadline, the producers at NBC and Chase are parting ways by “mutual agreement”. Oddly, I don’t think there will be a farewell episode. Chase’s leave is “effective immediately”, but it won’t seem to us that way. Though, we won’t see any new Chase footage, he has already shot enough to fulfill Community’s 13-episode fourth-season. Season four kicks off this coming February.
Chase has often spoken of being less than thrilled about his gig on the show. He is quotes as telling The Huffington Post UK back in the fall, “It was a big mistake! I just sort of hung around because I have three daughters and a wife,...

If you thought Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg were finished with their godawful brand of spoof movies, I've got bad news for you. According to Variety, the guys behind Epic Movie, Date Movie, Meet The Spartans, and Vampires Suck have signed on to write and direct The Starving Games, a parody of one of this year's biggest box-office successes, Gary Ross' The Hunger Games. Weird how everyone seems to have forgotten about that movie in the wake of The Avengers, but Seltzer and Friedberg are ready to mix in more idiotic pop culture references and remind people about The Hunger Games in the worst possible way. Not only are they sending up The Hunger Games, but the writer/directors also plan to make fun of The Avengers, Sherlock Holmes, and the Harry Potter finale. I could have sworn this subgenre was dead when 2011's Not Another Not Another Movie came out,...

“Only Fools and Horses”, the British sitcom which has been named the greatest comedy of all time on numerous occasions on these shores is being remade for American audiences by ABC.
A Brit hit translation for Us screens is not uncommon of course, with Ricky Gervais’ The Office being the most recent big success to be transferred stateside and to huge success at NBC.
When a U.S. Only Fools was first announced many British fans instantly expected this to fail, with even Del Boy himself David Jason being skeptical of the possibility of it being anything other than a failure. Early judgement was to be expected, but as news snippets and details of casting come out, are there signs that this ‘horse’ may have legs?
First up was the announcement that John Leguizamo would be playing Del Boy…

Cassie Scerbo is reaching for the brass ring. The talented and gorgeous 20-year-old first gained recognition playing Brooke in Bring It On: In It to Win It (2007) and now co-stars on the popular ABC Family series Make It or Break It (TV). The show, currently in its second season and airing after Pretty Little Liars, casts Scerbo as Lauren Tanner, the mean girl among a group of would-be Olympic gymnasts. Also on the way is the film Not Another Not Another Movie, due for release later this year and featuring Burt Reynolds, Chevy Chase and Vinnie Jones. PopStar recently caught up with Scerbo for an exclusive interview during which she previewed things to come on Make It or Break It, and discussed other upcoming projects. Go back a step. How confident were you when Make It or Break It was about to start that it would click with viewers? I...

Chevy Chase, Burt Reynolds, Vinnie Jones, Michael Madsen and “Stuttering” John Melendez are spoofing the nonstop flood of spoof films in the upcoming indie comedy “Not Another Not Another Movie,” says the Hollywood Reporter. Chase plays a studio head who quits his floundering company, leaving his ex-con sibling (Madsen) in charge. Soon their equally inept gangster friend (Jones) takes over and assigns a production assistant (David Leo Schultz) to direct a spoof of spoof movies. Reynolds plays an actor playing the director of the chaotic film within the film. Writer-director David Murphy’s “Movie” features cameos from actors playing themselves spoofing their memorable roles, including Richard Tyson (of “Three O’clock High” and “Kindergarten Cop”) and Wolfgang Bodison (“A Few Good Men”). Ellie Gerber, Tim Piper, Jennifer Sciole and James Duval also star. The True Fiction Filmz feature is produced by Ron Loudoun, Murphy, Nick Cole, Schultz, Piper and Electra Avalan.

I wasn't going to report on the news from The Hollywood Reporter about a new movie called Not Another Not Another Movie which will apparently be a spoof movie of spoof movies such as Scary Movie and Meet the Spartans. The flick is going to star Chevy Chase, Burt Reynolds, Vinnie Jones, Michael Madsen, all to be referred to as "People With No Shame" from this point forward. There is no real reason to report on the film other than to call it stupid and ask, "Who would want to watch that?" However, considering Scary Movie 4 made over $90 million and Meet the Spartans made over $38 million I can only assume there are a lot of people out there that line up for this crap. But I think the line has now been drawn with news from MTV that the Wayans brothers are making a dance movie spoof flick called...

Could this be the spoof savior? The one that makes us forget about the wretched influx of crappily made spoofs?
The Hollywood Reporter posts that Chevy Chase, Burt Reynolds, Vinnie Jones, Michael Madsen, and "Stuttering" John Melendez have signed on to spoof spoofs with Not Another Not Another Movie. The brainchild of David Murphy, the comedy will star Chase as the head of struggling studio who leaves the gig to his ex-con brother (Madsen). Then, "their equally inept gangster friend (Jones) takes over and assigns a production assistant (David Leo Schultz) to direct a spoof of spoof movies." Burt comes in as "an actor playing the director of the chaotic film within the film."
Oh, but there's more -- the film will be full of cameos that have actors playing themselves spoofing previous roles like Richard Tyson as the villain in Kindergarten Cop and Wolfgang Bodison as the marine on...

For years now, Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer have pummeled the laffs out of America's gut with movies (and I use the term loosely) like Epic Movie, Date Movie, Disaster Movie, and Scary Movie. In each of these "movies," they take it upon themselves to spoof popular movies in the laziest way possible: by throwing a bunch of pop culture references in a blender, pouring the resulting sludge on film, and claiming it's a hilarious spoof movie. But as the spoof movies continue to deluge our theaters with no regard for human life or sense of humor, the question must be asked: who spoofs the spoofers? Apparently, Chevy Chase. From The Hollywood Reporter: Chevy Chase, Burt Reynolds, Vinnie Jones, Michael Madsen and "Stuttering" John Melendez are spoofing the nonstop flood of spoof films in the upcoming indie comedy "Not Another Not Another Movie."...

No, this is most definitely not a joke. Chevy Chase, Burt Reynolds, Vinnie Jones, Michael Madsen and John Melendez are working on a movie that spoofs other spoofs.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the project is entitled “Not Another Not Another Movie.” In the film, Chase plays a studio head who quits his job and leaves his ex-con sibling (Madsen) in charge.
Soon enough, one of their gangster friends (Jones) jumps on board and takes control of the business, ordering a production assistant to direct a spoof of spoof flicks. Reynolds plays an actor who stars as a director in the spoof.
David Murphy is directing the flick, which the trade says features plenty of cameos, including Tim Piper, Jennifer Sciole and James Duval.
Considering I’m sick and tired of spoofs, I admit this may be an opportunity to create something funny. Then again, it will still be a spoof,...

Somewhere, in those places where your biggest fears dwell, you knew this would be coming. Get ready for a spoof of spoof movies called Not Another Not Another Movie.
It will not come from the same hacks who have made Disaster Movie and Meet the Spartans, instead David Murphy is paying the rent as the writer-director of the film produced by True Fiction Filmz, according to The Hollywood Reporter. I have a simple rule: Don't see a movie made by a company that can't spell "Films."
Please read on, though, because the best is yet to come: Not Another Not Another Movie will star Chevy Chase, Burt Reynolds, Vinnie Jones, Michael Madsen and "Stuttering" John Melendez. There's not much left to say about that, is there?
