The "city office building" was an old hotel in Hicksville, NY that was used before destroying and putting something new there. Cheap way to use a set.
The fire department that shows up is NOT the city fire department. It is the local volunteer Hicksville, NY fire department and giving an old fire chief his 15mins of fame (which was cute).
